Dabo confirmed there will be no changes at offensive playcaller

He will throw Riley a bone every now and then and let him pick one but for all intensive, offensive purposes, he will continue calling plays.
This should be taken with a grade of slaw though

Yes he is a paid Dabo loyalists that would defend him if we went winless the rest of year . The coaches are paid to develop players and the blame starts with Dabo. There is no player development at Clemson at any position and that is a direct indictment of the coaches .

Have you not seen the countless film breakdowns out the show receivers wide open on nearly every play if the ball is delivered there and on time?

Cade misses open receivers for sure, but still our play calling is mind bottling.

nobody's been that good.
the fact that Randall is our starting RB is an issue in and of itself..............but considering the situation he's in.........he's done well.

Randall will likely go higher in the nfl draft than mafah and possibly shipley too.

Why is it always about the QB for you kids? Watch the O line, watch the defense and you may change your mind.

Nobody succeeds without a QB.

The OL hasn’t caused the QB to fail, and the defense played well enough to be 3-1. If Cade hits the pedestrian throws and game changing plays last Saturday, then we very well could have flipped that game early.
Sure, it’s a team game, but there isn’t a position more important than the QB, and it’s not even close.
Nobody succeeds without a QB and with one playing pedestrian football we could be 3-1 or 4-0.
The QB is far and away THE reason for the season.

If the OL hasn't caused Cade to fail, why does he scramble so much? The defense gave up 34 against Syracuse, tackling as a whole has been lack luster, LB play has been unsatisfactory, dropped passes and picks, DL hasn't gotten any pressure, 3rd down conversion success is terrible, the list goes on.
We get it, you dont like Cade. Just like many people on here.

Been saying for a while. Lack of physicality on both lines. It where every problem starts. Fix that and Cade wouldn't look scared to death as soon as he gets the ball.

I think we would win if Riley too away Dabos play sheet. Dabo needs to be like Bobby Bowden. Stand on sideline and daydream. Wake up and scream at refs, stomp around, throw headset, then go back to thinking about what he is going to eat for supper.

The offensive plays are there every week, but the guy driving the car on Saturdays isn’t executing the offense. It’s not the playcalls- it’s the execution from the guy running it on the field.

To beat a dead horse again, Riley is also QB coach.
Plays under GR’s regime are substantially different than when Streeter was OC. What happened to Dabo (who many on TNet believe still calls the plays) to significantly change the game day play calling from when Streeter was OC to (now) with GR being OC? This is an unsolved mystery (not really).
Back to G.Riley and QB coaching and QB development. GR has had 2.75 years to develop Vizz into a capable CFB QB. Same amount of time that he’s had to work with CK2. If Vizz is so dramatically unsuited to get meaningful snaps at QB after the first 3rd of the season has ended, then we are either awful at talent evaluation or … maybe, just maybe … not good at developing QBs. Or maybe GR recognizes Vizz as being ready at QB but isn’t willing to man up and challenge Dabo as far as Dabo’s preference for starting QB. Or maybe GR lacks the ability to recognize talent / player readiness when it’s right in front of him.
The overall picture is not flattering for G.Riley.
We’ll see how things go in Chapel Hill in 10 days.

that was with a hampered RB.
The difference in last year and this year? The QB, not playcalling.

Riley did wonders at TCU with much less talent. Are the Big 12 defenses really that much different from the ACC ??
