Gutter cleaning

In my old house had a two foot over hang and no gutters were needed.
In my new house have gutters. I hate them.

One deal is they clog up. I can get to the ones on the front with my ladder, but the rear is a different experience. Even the front, I don't want to that every month.

I don't feel comfortable on a tall ladder (even if I had one) to do the rear.
Ditto with going on the roof and sliding to the edge to test my acrophobia, but been doing that. Five years ago -- maybe, but now I am elderly and deserve more time with beer and less being a monkey.

I have the rear draining to my 4000 gallon garden pond. Clogged up that is not happening in this storm, so lots of water wasted.

Different gutter guards are so numerous I feel most are a rip off.
I wonder if any would actually do the job.
Any advice from yall with experience?

Had a drone with air blaster and camera. Would clean them out in under an hour. This is a big job, 3 story house.
Charged me $100, i'd have him come out three times a year or so.

Sadly, his phone # is now disconnected, I think he was deported :(

I've never had a decent experience with any sort of gutter guards. Especially, if the roof has a high pitch. Water just shoots across them.

BIG gutters are the answer. I go on the roof with my leaf blower 2-3 times in the fall and let it blow them out.

*** Have you ever noticed how nice the trucks are that belong to the Gutter Man that comes out to give you his estimate? Big money in gutters.

It may not be financially feasible since you already paid for the gutters, but we installed Leaf Guard gutters on our last two houses and never had to clean out another gutter even though we had wooded properties. They're seamless and made on site.

Our house is on a heavily wooded lot. Oak, pine, beech, poplar, etc. We installed stainless steel (Rhino) guards about 7 years ago. So far so good.

I'm with you on the gutter guards. I looked into those and could not get that pushy sales guy out of my house fast enough. Cheaper and less hassle to hire someone to clean them. Shame because some are probably a decent product but the smarmy sales tactics are a deal killer.
