We would be just as good as half the Sec. Don’t let the conference fool you, only four or five good teams in the conference and the rest are door mats including SC,

With or without Dabo we are a big brand Always behind the scenes stuff going on the SEC will expand again and we will be great again. Dabo needs to go back and be great in his lane get back to being an innovative offense.

Dabo can skate by in the ACC but the moment we join the SEC we’ll be shown real quickly what real football teams look like.
9-3 or 8-4 in the ACC would get us 6-6 or 5-7 in the SEC.

And that’s playing against the awful dirtpeckers and having a month to prepare for Tennessee, UGA, Texas and LSU.
What would we be playing in THEIR stadiums? Death Valley is easily the best football stadium in the ACC. What would it be ranked in the SEC? Going on the road is tough ish in the ACC imagine playing in real football stadiums and not high school size stadiums? I know I’m exaggerating some but seriously, outside of Doak Campbell there’s really not a tough environment that compares to an SEC road trip.
Week in and week out.

Clemson and any others who go to the SEC will make a lot more money. You know, for better coaches, better players, better recruiting, more NIL $$$, better facilities, better strength and conditioning, etc. And hopefully, better teams and results.

The haters want to base everything on this season.
It just defies reason to assert that our current season defines us, and that we’d be better off cowering in the ACC.
You’d almost have to have feathers and a beak to think that way.

That doesn't square with the investments we've made in some women's sports that the sec doesn't have.

So, does Clemson want a great badminton team or a better football team? Essentially, this is what it comes down to. Sacrifices will have to be made. You know, no pain, no gain.

... is looking to get out of the ACC and into a P2 conference. They are all (except for a very few) trying to convince Sankey, Petitti, ESPN and Fox that they belong in the soon to be created SuperLeague.
Clemson just wants to be ahead of the curve, like Oregon and Washington were or like OU and TX were.

I swear half the folks on this site would stay on the titanic because "that water might be cold!"
To those saying this would be terrible, Uh yall do realize that this move would give us more money and help in recruiting right?
Also I'll never understand the cowardice behind wanting an easy league. Iron sharpens Iron and this staff could've seen and addressed the underlying cracks sooner with more resources to fix things if we were in the SEC/BIG10 (I much prefer the SEC because we're a dang southern public school who gives a rip about football)
I'm sick and tired of this bum league adding more small schools no where near the south. Give me Florida/Auburn/Georgia/Tennessee over Cal/Stanford/BC/SMU/Syracuse.
They don't even have us playing GT/NCST every year anymore.
Back in the early 2010s when all the leagues were balanced I was all for the ACC being an underrated league and we all punched above our weight. Just look at 2016, GT beat Ugha and won the gator bowl, VT was a solid team, and FSU beat michigan in the orange bowl (when bowls still mattered) Miami was a top 25 team that beat a dang good WVU team in their bowl. And of course we won the natty. Sure the SEC was a tad deeper some years but the gap wasn't as big as ESECPN wanted everyone to think.
Now that the Big12 and Pac12 have imploded there is now a truly big gulf between the SEC/BIG10 and the ACC. Gotta get on a lifeboat.
And as someone who goes to the games give me a real freggin home slate. 2/3 of the league is northern/western/small private schools that don't give a rip about football.
Miami/VT/NCST/GT/FSU (sometimes Louisville) are the only teams that give a rip about football and that I look forward to playing in terms of being a big game. Time to head out ASAP.

You basically trade your difficult games some years from Miami, FSU, GATECH, LOU., etc. for Alabama, LSU Ole Miss and Georgia. The doormat games most years would switch from BC,SYR, Wake, NCST to KY, Vandy, SC and Miss St. or some varying mix thereof. Is Clemson gonna fare better playing Bama and Georgia every year or Miami and FSU? Does Clemson get better by playing Auburn and Miss St every year, or BC and Duke? Something to think about. If we move to the SEC, it becomes more difficult to hide our deficiencies and we would have to recruit MUCH better to play with the top teams.

I used to roll my eyes at the "well come to SEC/BIG10 and you'll play best on best to make it to the NFL" Pre realignment it was a stretch, now with the SEC having a 9 game slate and Texas and OU added to the mix and the BIG 10 getting oregon, washington, and USC it IS a legit argument. I think it's something that would help our pitch and the program as a whole. Also this program as a whole needs a breath of fresh air. Make no mistake Cuse beat our butts, but does Cuse move the needle for the fanbase to show up? How many cuse grads/fans do you know vs UGA/Scar/Tennessee? LSU was the first time post covid that we've even felt a pulse in the stadium. We need bigger games played regularly and we need to jump off this sinking titanic of a conference before they add Uconn.
If the point is to win a national title or at least be in contention, why would we want a schedule where we can hide our awful depth and inefficiencies just to be exposed by a tough week 1 and in the playoffs every year?
