Best overall athletes we have had. Obviously Banks

McFadden would be in the group, but here are others. The one that immediately comes to mind is Mike Epley. He started in football and basketball and I have been told that baseball was his best sport. Another would be Charlie Waters. He played several positions in football and played freshman basketball. Billy Lott (starting QB and was promised he could play baseball but Red Parker nixed that).
Others would be Nuke, DeShawn (he said he thinks he could have played Division 1 basketball), who else? I know I am missing many.

Jacoby Ford, Kyle Parker, CW42 is very athletic for his size, Feaster had a shot at going to train for the Olympics but chose Clemson football, many of our current players were All state, state champs, or All Americans in multiple sports such as wrestling, track, baseball, and basketball.

I seem to remember that Eppley was on an academic scholarship named for Banks McFadden.

My first thought too. Eppley never got his due because he played football during the probation years. Guy was good at everything.

Thanks. Like others he was the first one that came to my mind, but I couldn't remember his name. I was about to hit up Google, before it occurred to me that someone would probably have the same thought, and scrolled down.

Due to the demands of the sport, not many dual sport players these days. Watching Tee Higgins HS Basketball film, he might even be better at BB than FB.

basketball, but what an athlete! Grady Jarrett is an amazing athlete to do what he does at his size... but I think you’re looking for multi-sporters.

Kind of taking your comment in another direction. We don't think of him as an athlete because he was a field goal kicker, but Obed Ariri was a heck of a soccer player before he learned to kick a football.

Bill Spiers. Starting punter on football team and starting SS on baseball. A lot of people don’t realize how good of a baseball player Woody Dantzler was.

Not a multi sport player that I know of...but I think Martavis Bryant was a create a player level of athlete. He's literally the perfect WR from a height, weight, strength , Speed, explosiveness stand point. I remember when Sammy Watkins blew up as a freshman Dabo was saying that Sammy wasn't even the most impressive freshman on the team it was Martavis. Thats gotta mean something.

I was also thinking Fridge. He could also make beautiful dives where crowds would come to watch him go off the diving board.

Tye Hill! He was an all American in football and help the indoor track team win the acc championship. He could fly, still tied for 5th best 40 time at the combine.

At Clemson, McCleon was a 2 sport star as a quarterback in his early years and also a baseball player. He also was a First-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference as a senior and got drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the 2nd round, 40th pick, of the 1997 NFL Draft. McCleon is the only player in ACC Football history to be named ACC Player of the Week on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams all in the same season
