So does anyone have any info on where he's leaning. I see the Coot crowd claiming that he's a gamecock lean. It just surprises me that he would choose to go to a program that's as far down as they are right now over a program that's currently at the top. 247 is saying he's 50-50. Also they're showing two other 5* kids from this state that we evidently are not in the mix for. But I do understand the 247 isn't all that reliable. I typically wait until rivals comes out with their assessments.

Thanks. Yeah if he grew up a copy there's only so much we can do but I know Dabo is the master so he can still pull it off.

That area is very thick with coots, but most of them have never been to Clemson. (My Aunt lives just outside of Florence and I get jeered constantly!)
Once you've been exposed to both, your eyes get opened and you realize just how special Clemson is.
However, if the entire town is trying to push him to USC he might fold to them. I just hope he is able to make his decision for himself instead of letting other people pursue their own agendas at his expense.

He is years away from signing. Growing up a coot fan has gotta be disappointing especially the last few years. I bet he is looking at his options besides Cootville. If Clemson wins then recruiting is easy especially if we have a program they want to study. If coots have another bismal year they can expect another poor recruiting class full of 2 and 3 stars. The colts are gonna hit on a few of those guys. That's just the way it is. But if you are Pro SEC then why would he pick the Coots if Bama and Nick come walking in your front door. I've seen the son of a local prominent USC linebacker alumni pick Bama. The cliche "Win and they will come" is true! Keep in mind it's easier academically for them to go to SEC due to the lower academic requirements. Your elite level football programs, including FSU, have low entrance scores and GPA minimums. That has "hurt" schools like Clemson, Duke, UNC, Vandy, BC, etc. if Thomas is to come to Clemson he has to make the grade or he will have to settle for a SEC school.

Good stuff, "I have literally fallen in love with Clemson."

After the 2015 FSU game- "I have literally fallen in love with Clemson - just the fans, the coaching staff and the players. As soon as I walked into the stadium, I hear fans telling me, 'Hey X, that hill is waiting for you.' I just love Clemson. this school will not leave my No. 1 on my top schools. Not just because of the football team and that they're undefeated, but because they are building a heck of a program. There are not any more words I can use to describe it. I have literally fallen in love with Clemson. It was straight out guts. Just like Coach Swinney said that's championship football at its best. They did not let the ranking distract them. They just went out and played their hearts out and that's what it's all about."
On the recruiting process- ”It feels good, but I didn’t expect the attention,” he said. “(Wilson head coach) coach (Chad) Eaddy and my mom have told me to just stay humble. So that’s what I’m going to do and I’m going to keep working hard every day.”
Sounds like our chances are pretty good with him. Let the feathered folks think what they want...
