God Bless Joe21.

Nov 3, 2021, 10:30 PM

I so enjoyed reading his stories on here. His generation is truly “The Greatest Generation”. What a legacy he leaves for his family and friends. I wish I’d been able to meet him in person. May he rest in peace, cheering on the Tigers from heaven. Prayers for his entire family.

I don't think I have ever been saddened so much

by the passing of someone I had never met in person. He made all of us feel as if we were close friends. I went back to a t-mail he sent me in January actually saying he would like to meet me in person - it never happened and I will always regret not making the effort to make that happen even though he said he thought we could get together when he visited family in Greenwood.

Did not know this. I am truly saddened. Did not know him either, only on his posts. He will be missed by everyone. If someone could post his obit, everyone would be grateful. What a fine gentleman, patriot, and a member of the greatest generation. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I will miss this man.

That is sad news. Only knew him from the posts on TN but his were the BEST and his stories were awesome. RIP Joe21

What a blessing Joe has been to tigernet. His stories of the Greatest Generation have been important reminders to all of us. Particularly for those who haven't been taught about their contributions in school.
