Gameday just put up a stat showing Clemson is 1-7

Vs their last 8 ranked opponents. So are we not counting bowl games anymore. How bout putting up a stat saying Clemson has defeated Ohio St, LSU, and Oklahoma and two of those were ranked top 6.

game. Only time I watch ESPN is during a game, and I have it on mute so I don't have to listen to their announcers.

Duh.....Davis, didn't you know bowl games don't count because most of the nation's elite teams we have beaten didn't really want to be there......

Geez - give me some stats and I can twist them any way I want them. Anyone that has taken a stat class realizes that.
We are undefeated when playing a bowl game in the past 3 years against ranked opponents, so that makes us the best team in the country. We should be NATIONAL CHAMPS because of this stat.

To be fair, that is a relevant stat. Prep for a reg season game and prep for a bowl game are completely different. Granted, they have already mentioned it 3 times now, which is excessive, but there would be nothing wrong with them bringing up that stat once.

How about Notre Dame's record on the road vs. ranked opponents the last two years? I'll give you a hint- there's a big fat zero in the win column.
All I've heard all week is how they took FSU to the wire last year, and how there was a controversial call that sealed the game for the Noles. Never mind that we took them to overtime, and completely gift wrapped the W for them.
It really is amazing to me how one sided the "spin" has been all week.

I'm definitely not saying that there isn't a ton of bias, just simply stating that it is a relevant stat. We'll get a little bit of love today, and the Irish will get a whole bunch of love. Ultimately, it doesn't matter at all. Beat them on the field, and then we can hear about how lucky we got all week until GT.
