social media in support of CBB? I can’t recall past or present players saying much about him either way. Does anyone know?

Look at Amir simms Twitter timeline. He's been arguing with fans since the news broke on us not making the tourney.
Brad is loved by former and current players.

He’s been coaching over 2 decades. I certainly hope he has former players that would say something nice about him. It’s meaningless.

I think in any other situation even the B Bros would say that is inmates running the asylum and is a bad look for everyone.

Players, other coaches and national analyst all seem to sing the praises of CBB. Its basically a few delusional old men on T-net so dont seem to understand the situation.

Lol exactly.
The Brownell haters are just angry that current players, former players, our AD, high level IPTAY donors, opposing coaches, and the national media have a way different opinion of Brownell and our 2023 tiger basketball team than they do.
Who's opinion should we trust? That of a bunch of fat old losers that don't even watch every game, or former players, current players, the AD, national media, or other coaches?

Pretty much everything in this thread. You’ve generalized a whole slew of different professional categories while making a single Twitter reference. He’s coming back for another year but he got the no confidence vote with no contract extension.

See, if you actually paid attention to tiger basketball you would know these things.
- I have posted many tweets in the last year showing what our former players are saying their former coach. Aamir Simms is always vocal. Elijah Thomas shows a lot of vocal support. A lot of the sweet 16 team comes back to workout in the summer. Pj hall, brevin Galloway, and Tyson have all shown vocal support for Brad as well. The only former player that has spoken negatively about brownell is the walk on's dad that one time. I'm not speaking of 1 specific tweet.
The AD - have you listened to his interviews? His perception of our program and brownell are way different than yours and many other posters on tigernet. If you cannot see that, then don't know what to tell you. Do you really need me to provide the tigernet article of his interview? Are you saying you agree with Neff's decision?
High level donors - don't have any proof of this, but I know. I don't owe you or anyone else any proof of my conversations with high level donors.
National media - I'm sure you didn't watch the games, but jay bilas, Seth Greenberg, and others were all clamoring anbout our team. In the selection Sunday show, all analysts said we got robbed. That is way different than I have heard from you or 90% of other posters on here.
Other coaches - brownell is very well respected among other coaches. Just this year, boeheim and scheyer spoke very positively about our team. Coaches respect brownell and Clemson. You trolls do not.

You generalized in this thread. What you may or may not have done in the past is irrelevant to this discussion - especially since you didn’t reference until called out.
His lack of willingness to tack on a year to the contract speaks more than his words. Especially since he wrote me an email acknowledging the importance of the contract to recruiting and looked forward to addressing that this year. So much for that.
Any of our knowledge of big donors is purely anecdotal. Mine is that I’m routinely offered floor seats that I have not taken up post pandemic. Their seats usually go unused. (I have no idea if arrangements are made through the University to release these seats but I’ve been offered them as late as day before and am often reminded to let them know if there are any I want - because they’re usually available). That’s from a Riggs Donor. I also know a Heisman donor who is disgusted with the state of Clemson basketball. Obviously not much to extrapolate there, but there are only 100 Riggs donors. If one of the them has trouble giving away his basketball seats that says something.
The announcers you are talking about are not unbiased. They work for a corporation that has a contract with our conference.
Yes, opposing coaches love that we’ve settled on a coach who poses no threat in recruiting and little threat on the basketball court. Shocking. Most coaches have wonderful things to say about Larry Shyatt. They hated Rick Barnes. I wonder whose performance Brownell’s more closely resembles?

If some of the yahoos on here can afford courtside seats. In fact that’s probably why some are supporting him so steadfastly because they know they will lose ground when we actually make a change for the better.

Another problem is that your IPTAY donation ties basketball and football privileges together. People that can afford to give at the higher levels for football are going to grab the premium basketball seats they are entitled to. The tickets are a drop in the bucket cost-wise compared to what they’re already spending. But they don’t care and they don’t go to the games.

Wrong. Premium seating for basketball doesn't work that way. All your IPTAY dues help you with is semi decent parking and the ability to buy a certain number of seats. Premium seats require IPTAY level donation, a 5-year commitment at 5k per year AND a seat fee.

I don’t think you understood my point. I’m talking about upper level IPTAY donors who are already giving far in excess of those amounts.

Explain to us again why a basketball school with a larger basketball budget hasn't ever tried hiring Brad from us?

Galloway tweeted support for him as well

But don’t forget, many players were angry that Bowden was let go. Remember James Davis being in tears? Glad that didnt affect any decision making. We felt bad for him at the time but I’ll take a 20 year old crying for a day if it gets us 2 national championships and ACC titles every year.

I'm also very glad that our AD didn't pay attention to the trolls on tigernet complaining that we hired Dabo, who had never been a head coach or coordinator in his career.

I'm also very glad Dabo and the football program started taking off in year 3 as opposed to a 13 year roller coaster.

13 years of data to work with. We do with Brownell, and we can accurately assess his progress or lack thereof based on results, not on projection. If Dabo didn’t work out after 13 years, they would be calling for him to be fired too.

Yes I was wrong because I wanted him fired after the 2010 season. As in after his second season not after 13 years. Brad should've been fired after year 12, but no he was brought back and competed against one of the weakest schedules in the country. With the aid of 2 starters in their mid-20's he did just enough to keep his job.
