A real game changer would be Clemson, FSU, Miami and maybe UNC (or NC St/UVA) jumping to the SEC and taking it to 20 teams. Renegotiated payout would be quite ridiculous to league members and probably tip the scale to 3 super conferences and separation from NCAA. Lots of positives in that scenario. I bet we could double our annual payout.
Would seem it is hard to kick someone out of a conference (even though they don’t want Vandy, would Bama let it be known they voted to kick them out?)
A way around it without the bad publicity (plus it gives Bama the ability to invite the schools they want). — Bama contacts Auburn, UGa, LSU, UF, TAM, Tenn, etc. they pull out to form their own conference and then they decide who gets to join party. Plus they can negotiate new TV deal.
Go after Clemson, FSU, Miami first. Makes 10. Then start adding who they want. Could ultimately create Super Conf, leave NCAA.
Once it gets to rolling, the other big guys will want in. ND, TX, OK. Just keeps building.
