Rumors from the bowl game against Syracuse

I lived in Syracuse when we lost to them in the Gator Bowl, so that was painful. At the time, I heard rumors that many of our players were seriously partying the night before the game and were hung over. And that Tommy West had pretty much lost control of the team. Anyone remember this or maybe it was just rumor?

It really did look like our players had been out partying all night. I can't remember seeing a Clemson team so poorly prepared to play.
I expect much different results today!

I just don't see Syracuse scoring any more than 14 points. Our defense is getting better every game and this one is going to show that we have a top 10 defense as well. Go Tigers make some Orange Juice.

I agree, unless they tack on a garbage score at the end of the game. I looked at their offensive stats. If you take out the Wagner game where they rolled up a bad FCS team for 500 yards, their total offense would be down around 100th in the FBS.

All over it. A huge statement of legitimacy can and will be made today and again in a couple of weeks. If we take care of this business the door will be open and stay open for us for a good while down the road.

I see this as a big statement to doubters of Clemson's climb to National prominence. We just wear them down and impose our will on the wannabe "Orange Men". It is sad, but a beat down is in order.

that the Clemson players are very aware of the trash talk the syracuse players have been talking this week. There only comments were was we will see what happens on the field. I love that attitude. They messed with a team they dont want a part of.
