From the Scrapbook: 1978 Clemson @ Georgia

In this installment of "From the Scrapbook", we look at the 1978 contest between the Tigers and the Dawgs. Though it was on the road, our Tigers entered the game as the favored team. Unfortunately, it ended up being the only blemish on a stellar season. The Tigers compiled an 11-1 record, which included the departure of Charlie Pell, the promotion of Danny Ford to Head Coach, and the infamous Woody Hayes punch of Charlie Bauman in that year's Gator Bowl.

Included are articles from The Greenville News-Piedmont and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution from Sunday, Sept. 24, 1978 (plus a little tidbit from The Tiger).
