Former Clemson specialist named NFC player of the week

Former Clemson standout Bradley Pinion started the season strong and was rewarded for it.

Pinion was named the NFC special teams player of the week after the Tampa Bay Bucs topped the Cowboys in week one.

Pinion averaged 49.3 yards per punt with a net yardage of 45.8.

Dallas averaged a start at its 9.5-yard line after Pinion punts.

One punt matched his career-long of 65 yards.

He also sent six kickoffs to the end zone for touchbacks.

The honor is a second weekly NFL honor for Pinion, who did the same with San Francisco in 2018.
