For those who care about Clemson Basketball

Another barometer game tomorrow night down on the plains. I try to be realistic considering the talent pool we have for basketball but I have enjoyed watching this team so far this year. ACC is very top heavy this year and may be for next few years but I do think this team can hang in the middle group and make the NIT, obviously would be a step up from what we have accomplished the last few years. Who's with me?

Strangely, I think we can hang with Duke and UNC, but not

Syracuse. The ACC is becoming a savage animal. Especially, once Louisville comes along.

Auburn is 4-3 with three double-digit losses, including a 111-92 thrashing at home against the 4-5 Northwestern State Demons.

Yea, we are headed in the right direction. The ACC is tough, but even without being able to recruit the very top players we should still be able to get decent players and develop them. Then have one or 2 really great years. Brownell needs to make this happen at some point. He has been here a few years now. I'd say within 7 years a great coach should be able to recruit the right players and make a decent run in the tourney. We still play in the ACC, have good facilities, a great school and campus. No reason we can't compete well every few years. Hopefully we see this come to fruition soon.

I like the team this year there's definitely improvement from last year. Anything is better than watching Milton Jennings.

of this group - the big men seem to be getting better every game and McDaniels is a budding all-acc type! Rod Hall is tough as nails leader and shooters Roper, Coleman are coming on. If Blossingame gets his shooting touch back - watch out!

Auburn is pretty bad. I think we win by double-digits and I don't think 17 wins is at all realistic. We are poised to finish 10-2 in the non-conference. a 7-9 record in conference play may be doable, but even if it's not maybe we'll win a game in the tournament to get to 17. That's borderline NIT right there.

I have always wanted Clemson basketball to be relevant. My heart has been broken many times like the 70s and Barnes era when he left for Texas. I keep hoping. I like Brad B. and I hope he can make it happen. I am excited about a new LJ as well. My goodness it only takes a few good players to get there. I like the direction we are headed so far.
