For those of you complaining about recruiting especially compared to South Carolina LOL

Our worst ranked commit (minus the kicker who is ranked #2 K in the country) is ranked higher than their #1 commit. Their highest commitment is a 91 overall. Our lowest (minus the kicker) is a 92. Overall, their class average is an 87. They have like 45 three stars. We have 8 commits. In December, again we will be a top class while they are fighting for a top 25 class. Beamer is doing a great job, but the quality of the classes don't compare.

Yeah but you have to use the South Carolina logic. It's always " look at his offer list!" OK, sure Alabama or Clemson did in fact show some interest in recruiting your 3* quarterback. As a backup that is.. Sometimes you just recruit guys for depth. The problem for them is that they are going to use this guy as a starter where we would have him holding a clipboard for 4 years most likely

Yep. The recruiting rankings don't tell the entire story. The real think that matters is the average quality of player.

I don't know what happens with Alexander tomorrow (seems to be us or Bama) but this class is going to continue to add 4 and 5 star players up until signing day. We may only sign 15-18. I think the number is low this year, but I assure you that they will be playoff caliber players and people. These coaches know what they are doing. They rarely miss on kids. They are great evaluators. Trust them.

It'll be interesting to see what (or any) tidbits drop today and Thursday on Jeremiah Alexander. Only crystal balls on 24/7 were from a year ago. TCI hasn't felt like they have enough info to comment one way or another on his commitment (and they're pretty quick to say yay/nay, IF they know). Sounds like Clemson had a silent commitment or very close to, and then Bama has given him more to think about.

What makes you so sure Beamer is doing a great job? He runs a tight practice?

What I mean is they signed the #80 class last year. I think he's an upgrade from Muschamp and is getting some kids despite them being one of the worst teams in the country the last 6 years. Beamer seems like a good guy, also. He's mentioned Dabo as a role model/someone he respects and looks up to. I don't know if he will turn it around. However, I respect him as a person and I know his father and the people he models himself after are good people and good coaches. Muschamp is now back with the scum of the earth, Kirby Smart, who is his equal as a human.

Wait, they have players? Last I heard they were very very short on the roster.... to the point of open tryouts at the halftime of the womens basketball games

Anyone that thinks the coots are anywhere in the same hemisphere as us in recruiting needs to find another sport. They obviously don't know football.

Just went and looked at the dirtpeckers commits. One thing stood out. They have 6 listed as Safety on 247. All 3 stars. Strange.
