Thanks to several of you for asking.
Long story short, no need to go into details.
In June I went in for a routine stress test. BP spiked to about 230/135.
My primary care physician and cardiologist did a great job getting BP under control through changes in medication. But, side effect was I would get lightheated or dizzy when standing up or even walking for a few minutes.
Cardiologist called for my pacemaker to be tweaked.
Base rate moved from 60 to 70. But, the biggest difference is it was also adjusted to be "rate responsive."
Results: No side effects. Things are back to normal. Walking again. No dizziness.
God is good!

Thats a stroke in alot if cases. I'm glad God was holding you through that. I know God holds us when its the other way but knowing Jesus as your lord and savior means he is just carrying you home. I'm human so I'm selfish and that part of me enjoys you here with us.

God is good. I have an appt with my heart DR on 11-7 bc I have been experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness from just walking to the mailbox and back, plus I get really dizzy when I lay flat down. I hope that just a minor tweaking will put me back on course bc a major Heart Attack took my brother at the age 52, and one took my dad out at 46. I've been lucky with no heart problems hopefully, but I did develop diabetes at about 55, and I developed high BP at about 58/59, and I'll be 71 next month.
But glad to hear that you're getting a handle on that BP....

I'm closer to 25 years your jr and my father dad, my grandfather passed due to heart in his late 30s and my father had his 1st bypasses in his 30s then a few more bypasses in his 50s and some more heart surgery in his late 60s.
I have pre atrial contractions that led to an attack a few years back. My cholesterol was total of 396 but with statins and other things I've gotten the total to under 200. Its hereditary so I could eat salad and my cholesterol be over 350. They did a cath and found no blockages or even plaque! They chalked it up to structural with the pacs. Just alot of us guys go thru these periods of weird heart issues. Prayers for all of you guys and don't wait to get checked even if you are in your 20s. Its serious as a heart attack.

Glad to hear that and your football season, has probably helped you too. Less stress haha. Can I ask if you contracted Covid, and if so did you have this issue afterwards? I experienced a really bad case of Covid the first time and my breathing and blood pressure changed drastically. BP is under control now with medicine, but breathing is still not close to what it was a few years ago before Covid. Take care and God bless and continued health!

Ask your Doc about using Repatha. It’s a bi Monthly injection that really works to lower cholesterol with no side affects. Got mine down to 90 in a month.
