JB will be singing the National Anthem in Athens tonight for the Texas vs UGA game.

WSP used to play in Clemson at Backstreets in their early days. Haven't been there in a long time (don't know if it's even there any longer) but there used to be photos of WSP and REM playing beneath the clear coat on the bar tops.

playing at Backstreets. REM was already playing in LJ and bigger venues several years before Backstreets even opened. Don’t know about WSP - I was only on campus a few years after Backstreets opened.

Love me some WSP, after I graduated in 92 from CU, my first job interview with a firm in Greenville was at a WSP concert!

Long story, it was a few guys that started up an environmental engineering company, they all went to CU. They had a small group and were looking for the right culture fit.. so we met for dinner talked about the job, then went to the concert and for beers after…

They were cool, it was a fun place and culture, but after so many years of just partying, i decided to go to a bigger engineering firm to focus on the job…. It worked out good, as they sold the company a few years after I turned them down….

Love me some WSP. Lived in CO for 11 years and would always take the Red Rocks weekend off to watch.

PS. If you are a music fan and have never seen a show at Red Rocks, you need to add it to your bucket list.
