I mean detailed solution. Not just "back up the Brinks truck to Saban's house". Give me a realistic solution for immediate success. At minimum, provide new HC, OC, DC and any other staff changes you would make. What positions would you target in the portal, how would you raise NIL to pay for them, and how would you convince HS recruits to come play for a new coaching staff who is likely unproven compared to the current staff?

Fortunately for us, Dabo has built a program that can last. We have the facilities, the tradition, fanbase, brand, and various other pull factors.
Cleaning house shouldn’t lead to a 5 year rebuild. A new staff will be able to flip the roster through the portal. They will be able to have instant success on recruiting. They will be able to attract a competent staff.

I would tell Tom Allen to find the best assistants he can get and bring them in. Remember Tom Allen can only do so much with the coaches already here. Offense needs a new offensive coordinator—a proven one for years and not one that just had a lucky year at TCU.

Curt Cignetti would be my first choice as HC. Don’t see any issue with him bringing in his guys off the staff he has now, seeing as how they’ve followed him from JMU to Indiana and would assume they would follow to Clemson as well.
In terms of targets out of the portal.. a proven QB would be pretty high up on the list. I feel like we have more than capable RBs on the roster and the same goes with WR & TE, dependent on retaining them after the season.
OL could be a portal need but I trust the guys that Luke is bringing in and feel like he should have the chance to coach up his guys and not guys that Austin brought in.
Defensively we’re going to have to attack the DL in the portal. Losing too much and/or the depth we have just aren’t cut out for big boy football.
DBs I feel good about the guys we have coming in, again dependent on retention of what we have/coming in.
Lbs would need to be a portal look as well.
NIL is something that can be found. There are plenty of high level Clemson donors who I’m sure would open the checkbook if the promise of the football program getting back to national relevance is there.
And just to throw in there, I would love to see if we couldn’t swing Jason Taylor away from Miami to come coach at Clemson. Probably would have to offer him the DC job to pry him from there, but what he’s doing/done with Miami’s DL is incredible.
So that’s my outline for how I would do it/want it to look.

The roof at Clemson is much higher than at Indiana.
That alone is enough for a coach to make the move.
Not to mention the fact that the path to the CFP regularly is a lot easier at Clemson than it would be at Indiana.

But i do want the humble Dabo that removed Napier and Spence cause they werent up to par. He can start by cleaning house of Grisham and Spiller and a few others that are just populating the sidelines. A few other changes also need to be made but ill hold those for another day

Well, personally, I would like for him to stay. But, realistically, this is bordering on an unmitigated disaster. Obviously, you want him to stay. So, how do YOU think he fixes it. (I don't know). Realistic answers...not "stay the course", "play for the guy next to you", etc.

What?
You do realize if Dabo left or was fired Clemson isn’t going to sell the stadium and shut down the program right?
We currently pay a 100 person staff related to the football program but in your opinion if Dabo left we would suddenly hire Daniel High Schools staff and have zero experience on the sideline?

You do realize if he left, we will have 1/2 the team transfer. We will be starting over. And tell me, what percentage of programs that get rid of their coach immediately step back up to elite status. Ohio State is the only one. Texas and Ga went thru a bus load. Auburn, Nebraska haven’t figured it out. Bama ain’t doing it. Miami had to go thru a 100 coaches and only when the alumni stepped up and paid for a team, have them finally figured it out. I don’t see one former player at Clemson stepping up other than negative social media posts. Miami’s former players are pouring in money.
Yall keep it up and force Dabo out. Every single one of you will regret it. And then you will be wanting him back just like some of you are forgetting how you treated Elliot and want him back.

What do you mean Georgia "went through a bus load"? UGA fired Mark Richt and in Kirby's second season he was a 2nd and 26 away from winning the national championship.

Curt Cignetti Fran Brown Deion Sanders
I would feel confident with whoever they hired on their staff. Personally, I would prefer an OC and DC with NFL experience.
If Dabo left, we would see a mass exodus of players transferring out. We would have to target every position in the portal.
Dabo built this program to last. A new staff will have immediate success recruiting the portal and HS recruits. We’re still Clemson. We are a national brand. We have some of the best facilities. Good fanbase. Iconic stadium. Financial resources.

1. It’s Colorado. Substantially less resources than Clemson. We are an attractive destination, they are not.
2. Clemson is in the Southeast, a hotbed region for recruiting. Attracting elite HS talent to Clemson, SC would be much easier than the cold altitude of Boulder, CO.
3. They were 1-11 and the worst P4 team in the country when he took over. They went 9-4 last year.
4. They are 2-2 after losing all of their best players. We are 1-3 after returning all of ours.
5. If Dabo were to leave, I would expect a large portion of the roster to leave as well. So bringing in a coach with experience flipping a roster through the portal makes sense.

There is an OC who coached Cam Newton to his NFL MVP season who should be coming available any day now. He could be had for a bus ticket out of Columbia. You can trade one disaster for another. If you like 2 runs up the middle and then a pass play with no pass blocking. Also, he will tell the freak of nature QB you want to turn him into a pocket passer. Sad state of football in SC.

Head Coach (HC): Lane Kiffin (Ole Miss). Offensive Coordinator (OC): Garrett Riley stays (or Kendal Briles if fresh start is needed). Defensive Coordinator (DC): Glenn Schumann (Georgia Co-DC/LB coach). OL Coach: Sam Pittman (if fired from Arkansas).
Transfer portal OL, Rb and. QB
As far as NIL Lane Kiffin’s hire alone would shake loose major booster money (he’s polarizing but energizing). Partner with regional businesses (Charlotte, Atlanta, Greenville) to fund position groups (“WRU NIL Deal,” “Trench Fund”). Engage alumni (especially NFL Tigers) for branding/endorsement NIL campaigns.

I like "the idea" of Kiffin, but not sure in reality he would be as great as he seems. Also personally I like Dabo better, but you answered the original question and I appreciate it.
Also I think he likes the looseness of the co-eds at Ole Miss and often talks about how he loves the SEC.

Hate to say this…Money has dampened the game so much that the whole religion and family schtick is kind of extinct. I want a coach that has questionable morals…Lane Kiffin type coach…open the check book and get to doing what 99% of the other teams are doing…pay players via recruiting and portal.

The coach at Vanderbilt, Clark Lea, is doing pretty well with much, much less talent than what Clemson has. They're 4-0 with 24 point wins at Virginia Tech and at South Carolina.

Who we hire matters a lot less than how much they cost at this point. We have to reorg and strip the program down to a lean management and coaching payroll and move the vast majority of the budget onto the field. Great players with mediocre coaching is a much better recipe for success than mediocre players and great coaching. Plenty of Superbowls have been won by coaches whose names you can't remember.
