I'm still of the opinion the defense isnt the issue this year but I'll say this. The lack of awareness near the end of the game was mind boggling. How many times did they rush the QB, collapse the pocket and just watch him run away? No one thought to say "break off your rush when he breaks the pocket and contain him"? At all? Every single time he was flushed they just kept rushing him and letting him slip outside then cutback. Infuriating to watch.

Opinions are like ### holes. Dude, just look at the defensive stats this year. We have played a single offense in the top 30 this year, and South Carolina was our third team in the top 50 offenses (other two were Louisville and UGA). Despite playing horrible offenses all year, we are somehow ranked #51 in total defense, #55 in passing defense, and #65 in rushing defense (might be lower tomorrow). In yards per rush, we're #85, allowing 4.4 yards per carry. That will take a huge blow and we might be around #100 tomorrow after SC gashed us for 6.4 ypc.
The defense is 100% the issue.
But it's a systemic issue. Our defense is terrible against bad offenses. Our coach is Goodwin, Dabo's unqualified buddy. Special teams are terrible. Coaches are Reed and Conn, Dabo's unqualified buddies. Running back plays scared. Coach is CJ Spiller, Dabo's former player. You could keep going by referencing Grisham and Reed and all the others. Our coaching staff is just a list of Dabo's closest friends and family, and they're all drawing massive salaries at Clemson's expense because sunshine pumpers refuse to address the real problem, Dabo.

It's all on the offense they didn't do #### the whole second half. The defense even created turnovers and we couldn't capitalize on them.

3rd and 15. Game on the line. The QB run has gashed you all game and you can’t stop it knowing exactly what’s coming? That’s on Defense. You had a lead all you had to do was get a stop. You didn’t do it. That’s on defense. The bs conservative playcalling in the 3rd qtr is on Dabo but Defense 100% had a chance to win the game and failed

The offense literally scored 14 points. The defense gave up 17 points. Any time you hold an opposing team to 17 points you should win…. Every. Single. Time. The defense had some issues but did more than enough to win

No you are delusional. The defense gave up 17 and only 17. The defense gave the offense the ball time after time to put the game away. Yet somehow despite all that the offense continued to turtle up.

And specifically the play calling Dabo employed by repeatedly calling for 2 yard runs from Mafa. Should have gone away from doing that too much right off the bat. So easy for a defense to stop us. Our pass game.was killing it. Cade would have led us to a comfortable victory had we not.gone away from what is working. We call way tooich of that RB up the.middle.stuff in general even going back to Shipley. It's too predictable and.only consistently works against ACC teams with who we have talent advantage on.
