September 28 went by without me remembering the anniversary of getting shot in Vietnam. Must be a lot of distractions going on in my life for that to happen?

Although leaving you with some discomfort your wound healed a long time ago. Now maybe your soul has healed from that terrible ordeal to the point you now can forget. BTW yesterday was our 61st wedding anniversary and I forgot.

Maybe it was time to think of a better memory, maybe it was time that you just look forward instead of back, but remember you lived through it and came out the otherside as whole as you possibly could. I had many friends that served there that while their body came back whole their minds and memories took a terrible toll on them! May you live long and prosper my friend!
