Firing the HC would set the program back

I don't know how much more set back we can be. We've beaten Troy, BC and UNC. They've lost a combined 15 games. I'd wager we could have won those games without coaches playing streetball.

We’re already set back to the mid 2000s. How much further could we go. You rip the bandaid off now and it’s like 2009+, we may have a couple of growth seasons but with the right new blood we could be elite again sooner than later

Some were much better.

I agree with you Judge.
And that’s a rare thing.
This team would lose to every one of Tommy Bowden’s teams. Even the one that got him fired.

Without significant changes, what makes you think it is not going to be the same for the Dabo tigers going forward? I really like him & what he has done with the fb program, but with hired players for “college fb”, the game has passed him by & he is obviously NOT willing to admit it or change the way he does things. For every thing there is a season, a time to sow, & a time to reap. We have reaped the benefits of his leadership for many years now, but the atrocities of this year indicate it is time to sow a much better crop. We can’t live in the past. We need to get with the new era of football now! We are already years behind. If that means cleaning house, name something after Dabo & move on. His antics on the sideline yesterday were not becoming of him, and certainly not a pretty representation of CU even though the calls sucked. I am a dyed in the wool, die hard CU fan & a CU grad., so no, don’t call me a coot. This is just how I see it.

When you fire a head coach these days you don’t get to keep anything. Staff is gone. PLAYERS are gone. Talk about quicksand or a couple growth years. There would be no stability moving forward. We’d be FSU or Colorado. Just pulling random dudes out of the portal and hoping they become a team.
Any idea of a program or an identity, any hope of having one again, will be gone.

What are we gonna do… Hire another cheerleader real estate salesman who’s never even been a coordinator?
Hope we don’t make that dumb mistake again! What a disaster.

I would take James Franklin right now. Dude has passion for the game, his kids, knows how to recruit and has adapted to the portal.

No he’s not! That guy hasn’t won a single big game like ever. Penn St has more resources as well. He would be the biggest bust ever at Clemson.

You are the biggest moron by far on this board and that is saying a lot! Who do tell can we get better than Dabo? You think any coach would take the Clemson job over Florida,LSU, or Penn St? Get real fool! Think before you open your stupid mouth!

Clemson hasn't gone a season without beating a power 4 team since the 1950s at home. It's about to happen this SEASON.

Exactly. I asked several times in the type threads and no one gives me any names. I’d like a couple names of who we would be going after.
