So many of you say, he would have already won so many games that he would have been hired by a higher profile program.
He is a mid level program coach.
Sorry, but he is what he is.

He is a great X and O's coach because he took teams with walk ons at any ACC school ( UNC-Wilmington and Wright State) to the Big Dance.
Yet you berate Clemson and call us a mid level program.
So which is it bud?
Is Brownell a bad coach or is Clemson a mid level program?
Because for a mid level program (your words), getting late into the NIT is a win.

I said "he is a mid level program coach"
Clemson in my opinion is a mid level program, that is no insult, but a fact IMO.
You must think Clemson is a low level program, because I am sure we agree on one thing, Clemson is not an upper level basketball program.

Yawn.
And the teams he beat to get to the dance had the same talent.
When is all this knowledge going to translate to the court at Clemson?

Oh I understand completely.
So again what's your point?
UVA is in the top 5, we might not even make the #### NIT.

Find a credible person who says this...

No one who knows basketball says this. Brownell is good a developing individual talent. Brownell demands tremendous effort from the defensive side of the ball.
From an Xs and Os standpoint, we are not good on offense. The garbage about needing a pure shooter is comical. While having better talent is always true, the lack of set plays is our offensive issue and why we have these droughts.

They made a commitment to be good and now they are. They did that with a new arena and a great coach with the exact same philosophy as Brownell. Talent is the only difference . Believe it or not, facilities make a huge difference to get said talent.

Ok so because they built a new arena and have a coach that runs a similar style means it will work for us?
FYI Bennett has been at UVA one more year and every year they have gotten better.

We don't run blocker mover on offense. We don't run the pack line on defense. Not even close to the same. The similarities basically end at focusing on defense.

Brownell. I mean you're talking about comparing a guy that's taken us to one NCAA tournament to a guy who has won national coach of the year with 2 different programs. Buzz Williams said when asked to compare Duke and UVA that they were both great because both were coached by hall of famers, one that's already there, and one that will be. You don't hear opposing coaches saying stuff like that about Brownell. So no, talent is not the only issue. They have a massive coaching advantage. They hit a home run when hiring their coach, we hit a single to shallow right field.

Will respectfully disagree

Here's what Brownell has given Clemson:
an NCAA appearance. zero issues with compliance. a team full of go-getters who buy into his plan. a well-coached team of overachievers. not a single "punk" that I can recall. a respectable, knowledgeable, classy face of the program.
Clemson is not, never has been, and never will be Kentucky. I believe, however, that we can be a Cremins-era Georgia Tech, and I believe Coach Brownell, as much as anyone, has the ability to make that happen. And I believe it will just take some more time. Basketball patience is shorter than football; we see teams like Butler and VCU and George Mason making big splashes, and we wonder, Why not us? It's a legit question, but against the framework of the ACC, it's an apples-and-oranges question. I strongly urge all Clemson supporters to stick with Coach Brownell for the long haul. It may take eight or nine years, but I do not know who will do better if we start afresh. Don't make it hard for him to succeed by posting nonsense.

Completely agree. That sentiment is so logical that it does not make sense to the" I want it now people." If Clemson really works with Brownell, he will make and keep us very competitive in my opinion.
