On Louisville’s first TD, Bell fumbled the ball through the end zone and we should have gotten the ball on a touchback.

The clueless ACC refs reviewed but never comprehended the correct call.

True but if the obvious horse collar would have been called then it wouldn’t have needed to be reviewed. The guy was getting ready to throw the flag and then his adhd kicked in, but the whole sequence is a microcosm of how crappy the Acc officiating is at all levels.

They could not determine whether the ball or his hand hit the Pylon, which is why they did not make the call for touchback. They discussed that in real-time during the broadcast. It looked to me like his hand hit it, and the ball went out of bounds. If anything, they gave Louisville a bad spot at the 2-yard line, when it should have been at 1 foot out.
