Tears ran down my cheeks as Erikia Kirk spoke publicly since her husband, the father of her children was taken from the Kirk family for all the wrong reasons.

I am not posting to make myself look like a flawed Bible thumping preacher. I lost some dear friends and close family members who I loved like brothers.

At one time, Clemson was identified as the college that most missed Ronald Reagan; that’s how traditional and culturally Conservative Clemson was when I attended in the late 1980s.
Now? I’m assuming it’s not quite as much but, South Carolinians are certainly responsible for making sure their Universities reflect the culture and values of the schools they support.

It’s just such a tragic situation that should have never happened.
We make a hero out of a drug addict and life long criminal with a long Rap sheet, George Floyd into a hero. I think there is a memorial for Floyd. He didn’t “get what he deserved” but his death is also not somehow worse that the kids shot during school shooting, the Minnesota state rep and spouse killed in June, or any of the other murders we see. Just because he had friends in high places doesn’t make his death a national tragedy any more than any others.

I completely agree with you. Murder on any level is tragic. A life has been taken in many cases for useless reasons. I have teared up for kids of any age murdered or needlessly killed for no reason at all.
I have supported teachers with firearm training be allowed to carry a weapon during school. Who knows how many lives could have been saved in a trained teacher had been able to eliminate or seriously wound the shooter instead of running around the school trying to get kids to safety only to be killed themselves.
We neef more armed officers in and around schools.
Since being robbed at gunpoint in 2020 I am always armed. Some parents or guardians know that kids in their care, custody or control have no business owning are be near firearms. If they know this these people need to be held accountable too.
A lot of this could be controlled in the home if parents and guardians would take a proactive approach into knowing what their kids are involved in.
Judges who let dangerous people out on parole or bail should also be held accountable. The problem in today’s world is there is no accountability or more serious consequences for criminal actions.
One of the teenagers that put a gun to my head was out on bail for robbing a couple in the Marriott parking garage. Why would you let him out until his trial ??? This would have never happened to me if more people were held accountable for not being a parent or for an unless judge who lets everyone out on bail.
But to answer you post it bothers me when mass killings happen. I write letters to my congressman and those politicians whose state this occurred. My question is what action you take for these school and public mass shootings ???

I’ve never heard of Charlie until Wednesday because I don’t pay attention to anyone who still says the 2020 election was stolen. I feel extremely sorry for his family. I’ve watched the videos of his wife recently and she is very brave for filming all this. The video that made me cry is the one where she is at his casket holding his hand 😢.

So, I'm a big Second Amendment fan but I think most politicians are cowards when it comes to defending why we have a Second Amendment. This is why I would not be a good politician, or maybe I would, I don't know, because I actually speak my mind. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. I love hunting. The Second Amendment is not even about personal defense. That is important. The Second Amendment is there, God forbid, so that you can defend yourself against a tyrannical government. And if that talk scares you — "wow, that's radical, Charlie, I don't know about that" — well then, you have not really read any of the literature of our Founding Fathers. Number two, you've not read any 20th-century history. You're just living in Narnia. By the way, if you're actually living in Narnia, you would be wiser than wherever you're living, because C.S. Lewis was really smart. So I don't know what alternative universe you're living in. You just don't want to face reality that governments tend to get tyrannical and that if people need an ability to protect themselves and their communities and their families. Now, we must also be real. We must be honest with the population. Having an armed citizenry comes with a price, and that is part of liberty. Driving comes with a price. 50,000, 50,000, 50,000 people die on the road every year. That's a price. You get rid of driving, you'd have 50,000 less auto fatalities. But we have decided that the benefit of driving — speed, accessibility, mobility, having products, services — is worth the cost of 50,000 people dying on the road. So we need to be very clear that you're not going to get gun deaths to zero. It will not happen. You could significantly reduce them through having more fathers in the home, by having more armed guards in front of schools. We should have a honest and clear reductionist view of gun violence, but we should not have a utopian one. You will never live in a society when you have an armed citizenry and you won't have a single gun death. That is nonsense. It's drivel. But I am, I, I — I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe.
So then, how do you reduce? Very simple. People say, oh, Charlie, how do you stop school shootings? I don't know. How did we stop shootings at baseball games? Because we have armed guards outside of baseball games. That's why. How did we stop all the shootings at airports? We have armed guards outside of airports. How do we stop all the shootings at banks? We have armed guards outside of banks. How did we stop all the shootings at gun shows? Notice there's not a lot of mass shootings at gun shows, there's all these guns. Because everyone's armed. If our money and our sporting events and our airplanes have armed guards, why don't our children?

Charlie Kirk was brave, smart and kind. He loved his enemies and was able to get many college kids to see the error in their thinking. He spoke the truth in ways that most of us do not, and he was effective. He was super gentle with LGBTQ + whever they Pproached the podiium to ask him questions. I've seen so many grown men of all nationalities cry over his death.

To make things even worse for Clemson, the professor’s comments were broadcast to the nation by Laura Ingram on her show Friday night and attributed to the university.

If you feel like many of the liberal democrats some who are on staff at Clemson you have a heart ❤️ of stone. Tears ran down my cheeks as Erikia Kirk spoke publicly since her husband, the father of her children was taken from the Kirk family for all the wrong reasons. Charlie Kirk, who proclaimed to be a Christian spewed racist rhetoric, claimed that the white race was superior to others and also challenged the intelligence of African Americans who happened to have multiple college degrees while he was a college dropout. He sowed hatred and reaped it. None of his actions were Christ-Like. Anyone who believes his behavior was alright needs to look in the mirror.

He’s not wrong. I’ve listened to things he said on his podcast/show. I just can’t believe you would deny that after listening to what I heard. You’re a denier and probably still think the 2020 election was stolen. 😏 He insulted black women and men. If he insulted them I’m sure he insulted other minorities. He may be civil when he’s debating people on campuses but what I heard wasn’t debating. It was straight up comments about these people. If I was a black person I would not appreciate it at all. It was very demeaning.
