Clemsoning

Sep 22, 2014, 8:51 AM

According to the Urban dicitonary:
Clemsoning- ">The act of delivering an inexplicably disappointing performance, usually within the context of a college football season.
>When you are widely favored to succeed and instead crash & burn."

Clearly that definition hasn't applyed in years. Maybe you can now call that Southern Caling or Ohio Stating.

So now the definintion has morphed? Does it now mean anytime you lose to a number one team on the road during overtime?
Or does it mean winning the total yardage by a large margin and still losing? If so, it should be reffered to as Virginianing this season.

I don't get it. After consideration, I think the term is only used because the name Clemson lends itself to the ing ending where most schools don't.

People make it what they want to keep trashing us.

There were two games in the SEC that were better examples of losing when you shouldn't. See Missouri and LSU games.

No no those games have been amended in history to reflect that Missouri and LSU were the underdogs and were fierce competition for the opponent.

Exactly, I love how the definition keeps shifting

to suit the flavor of the week.

It used to mean beating a team you weren't supposed to beat then losing to a team you were supposed to destory. Now all of a sudden it means outplaying the other team yes still finding a way to lose.

Talk to me about a team who hasn't done this...I mean really.

Haters gonna hate, but guess what, At the end of the day I'm still a Clemson man and the haters are still 2nd rate trash.
