Let’s reframe that Elite 8 this way: How many coaches have gone to the Elite 8 over the last 15 years and have never done anything better. We have people dogging Tom Izzo on here. Do you think Brad is one move away from 27 straight NCAAs, 8 Final Fours, and a national championship?

Brad. It didn’t happen by accident. Someone feels like they need to put a positive spin out before what is going to be a controversial announcement. I’m betting 6 years, $33 million with a minimum buyout of $15 million until 2030. For a guy who is already the most overpaid coach in power conference basketball history.

If that’s true then why even announce what amounted to a 2 year extension? Player retention is a non factor. His present terms expanded to 6 years would still be worth over $25 million with a buyout of over $12.5. My projection is really that crazy. Two things can be true. He can be in a position not to be fired and he can be robbing us blind. That anyone would even raise an eyebrow about Dabo’s salary and not flip their #### about Brownell’s compensation is peak hypocrisy. It really should bother the average fan way more than it does.

I find it funny when anyone says “one of the best” (fill in the blank. Brad did it here with our home environment. If you think about it, as long as the thing in question isn’t the worst, it can be considered “one of the best”.
At the very least, the top half of anything is one of the best of that thing.
So, for JK and others: Brownell is one of the best coaches in college basketball.

I did notice "University" in the first graf. It should be "university." Normally I'd dismiss my grammar policing as pedantic.
But when you're the highly-compensated face of a basketball program that represents a university as prestigious as Clemson, it matters.
Good news is CBB has six more years to figure out this grammar thing. Maybe that new contract includes a subscription to grammarly.
