I'm getting the impression that he has stuck around for a very specific reason. I can't imagine how many job offers he has received since I believe he is the best DB coach in the country. I think Dabo very much plans to hand over the reigns once his contract is up.
I think coach Reed would be a home run hire as a coach, recruiter, and leader of men.

I believe Reed wants a HCing job and Dabo will help him succeed at that.

I don’t have any personal knowledge but I think he sticks around because of the atmosphere Dabo has created for his coaches. Especially considering how jacked up CFB is right now. We are blessed to have him - best coach on the team. He better watch out though because I think Luke and Eason are gunning for that title (best coach on the team) 🙂

So far, Matt Luke gets my vote as most impactful coach on the team. O Line is playing worlds better this year.

Great players dont always make great coaches and great position coaches do not always make great HCs. Luke has made a significant impact as a position coach in a short period of time but was not a great HC at Old Miss.

Throughout all the changes in CFB and in Clemson's staff...Coach Reed has been the most consistent positive. He's a fantastic coach I hope he's at Clemson as long as possible. Great human, great coach, incredibly consistent room. Unless he's waiting for his Oklahoma, I get the feeling he's content to remain (hope so).
