Duke's remaining schedule...

After ND, Duke has:
vs. NCSU @ FSU @ UofL vs. WF @ UNC @ UVA vs. Pitt Not likely, but possible they could lose 3. A better scenario may be a 3 way tie at 2 losses where we all beat each other (Duke, CU, and someone else)... Not sure what the tie-breaker is for that, but it may be highest ranked?

FSU goes undefeated
Duke Loses to- FSU and UNC UNC- Losses to Miami and Clemson Clemson- Loss to Duke and FSU Miami- Loses to FSU and Clemson
Not sure what all the tiebreakers are but that's our best chance that makes sense.

We'd have wins over 2 Loss UNC, Miami, and Notre Dame. Gotta think we'd stand a chance to get in.

But UNC would beat Duke due to Tiebreaker, and we would beat UNC due to tiebreaker

“If three or more teams are tied for the best record in the league, the first step is to determine a top seed. The league will do that first by considering head-to-head win percentage against all other tied teams if they are common opponents. Next, the tiebreaker becomes win percentage against all common opponents and continues through the same procedures as the two-team ties, all the way down to the random draw from the commissioner. This process proceeds until there are two teams determined to be the top two seeds.”
We’ve basically got to beat the remaining schedule by 40 points each game to have a chance. Even then, we might have to rely on a random drawing of the hat.

I would think we need to worry about improving, ball security and playing Syracuse 4-0 Wake Forest 3-1 Miami 4-0 NC State 3-1 Georgia Tech 2-2 North Carolina 4-0
instead of who Duke plays.

Don't forget that Louisville could creep into the mix. They may have a chance.

So you’re saying there is a chance 😂. Sadly any of these scenarios would mean the ACC is a joke at a time when conference realignment means more than it ever has. I’m pulling for FSU and or Duke to run the table and restore an ounce of credibility to an otherwise un incredible group

I think win-loss record among common opponents is one of the criteria used.

You are wrong because all dont play each other. The two teams with the best record in the ACC only will play for the title.

Hes not wrong. That is one of the criteria. If Clemson

is in a multi team tie then that would be utilized if the teams had beat each other in round robin. Or if we were tied with UL since we didn’t play them.

Yeah I can actually see Duke losing 3. Too much parity in the league

TOs and injuries will dictate some things as there are a lot of tight games on paper. More concerned about us going 6-2. If we do go 6-2, probably more concerned about UL or UNC as UNC dodges FSU and UL dodges both FSU and us. Easier for those teams to go 7-1. I think tiebreakers with those 2 would both favor us if at 6-2.

Pretty sure they will not be favored in 3 of those road games (FSU, Louisville & UNC). NCSU and Wake are not done deals at home either.
Louisville has an easier road...they are probably a team to keep an eye on. They really need to drop a game or two that they shouldn't (like to Pitt or N.C. State on the road)
I feel like there's a lot of "beating each other up" or whatever the SEC fans say that will occur in the ACC this year...maybe moreso than usual without the divisions.
I think FSU winning out (ugh) is probably required to give losses to teams like Duke & Miami to keep the door open for a 2 loss Clemson team.
But I'm sure that the hardest part is us winning out. If we win out and get squeezed out of the ACCCG by a tiebreaker, it is what it is. We do have games left against several teams who will be aiming for that 2nd spot to play FSU.
Big game against Cuse Saturday. Need to get a real road win for this team. Then pummel Wake and get to the BYE week for a big reset for the rest of the season. After the BYE...it's going to be quite the schedule. I think this is probably one of the tougher schedules we have seen in a while because of who we drew in the conference slate (it looks like the bottom dwellers will be BC, UVA, Va. Tech...and maybe even Pitt...and we play none of them). We miss Louisville, who looks good. Wake may be down a little from last year. GT looks improved, especially offensively. Hard to tell with N.C. State, but that road trip will be a challenge. It's worth noting that Wake and State both have open weeks before they play us, so you know we'll get the kitchen sink in those games.
