Todays player spotlight is #63 Easton Ware. He is a true freshmen offensive lineman for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

He “Helped pave the way for high school teammate and fellow Clemson signee Gideon Davidson”. So if Gideon goes wild this year at the RB position for Clemson then you have Easton to thank for motivating him to come here.

Easton was a “Four-star recruit and consensus top 10 player in state of Virginia … two-time state champion … propelled running back and fellow Clemson signee Gideon Davidson to a prolific prep career, blocking for the All-American running back who rushed for more than 4,400 yards over their final two years … helped propel Davidson to Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Virginia … ranked by ESPN as the eighth-best player in Virginia as well as the 36th-best at his position in the country … rated as the 25th-best player at his position and ninth-best player in Virginia by 247Sports … ranked by Rivals as the No. 10 player in Virginia and the 37th-best prospect at his position … four-year starter who played both tight end and along the offensive line … helped team to a state championship berth against Phoebus as a freshman … named all-district, all-region and all-state as both a sophomore and junior, and recognition for 2024 is still pending as of Early Signing Day”. He was also a “2024 District Lineman of the Year honoree … played for Frank Rocco at Liberty Christian.”.

Easton was “Born Sept. 6, 2006 … enrolled at Clemson in January 2025 … parks, recreation and tourism management major … his signing alongside high school teammate Gideon Davidson marked the sixth time in an eight-year span that Clemson signed at least one pair of high school teammates in a recruiting class.”.

Todays player spotlight is #62 Bryce Smith. He is a redshirt sophomore offensive lineman for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

Bryce “Bypassed scholarship offers from several FBS schools to join Clemson as a walk-on in 2023 … enters 2025 having played nine offensive snaps over four career games.”. Interestingly those schools he opted out of were all military schools. He had offers from Air Force, Army and Navy. So that may mean he is looking to join the military after college. I may be wrong though.

Bryce was a “Two-time state champion at nearby Daniel High School … three-time all-region selection and two-time all-state honoree who earned 3A Upper State Lineman of the Year honors as a senior … four-year starter who helped Daniel to a 47-2 record, including a 36-game win streak … selected to the Shrine Bowl.”.

In 2023 he “Redshirted … played three snaps in collegiate debut vs. Charleston Southern … ACC Honor Roll selection.”.

In 2024 he “Played six offensive snaps over three games … played three snaps in season debut vs. Appalachian State … played one snap vs. NC State … played two snaps vs. The Citadel.”.

He is majoring in construction science and management.

There is no #61 for Clemson this year so I will actually be spotlighting one of our newest players.

Todays spotlight is #73 Hayes Galloway. He is a redshirt freshman transfer offensive linemen for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

Hayes was a “five-year player at Cannon School … two-time all-conference selection … five-time team captain … led Cannon School to a state title and two conference titles … did not allow a sack as a senior … won the team’s outstanding offensive lineman award … also competed in track & field, wresting and basketball … finished fifth in the state in wrestling … won the AT Environmental Science Honors Award … played for Dustin Martin.”.

He just transferred from North Carolina and joined the Tigers on June 11. (I’m assuming he took the free spot on the team after Marquise Henderson was dismissed.) Hayes will join his father on the team. “His father, Lonnie, is a volunteer offensive assistant at Clemson.”.

Here’s what Hayes had to say on twitter about joining Clemson: “After entering the transfer portal in April as a PWO I have accepted an opportunity to continue my career with @clemsonfb beyond grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait for a great season.”

There is no #60 for Clemson this year so I am going back to cover a player I haven’t covered yet.

Todays player spotlight is #95 Amare Adams. He is a true freshmen defensive tackle for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

Amare is a “South Carolina native who joined Clemson as a top 100 prospect nationally”. Dabo has even compared Amare to Bryan Bresee and Dexter Lawrence.

He was a “Consensus national top 100 player ranked as the 23rd-best player in the nation by 247Sports, the highest 247 ranking of any signee in this class … earned five-star billing from 247Sports, which also listed him as the fourth-best defensive tackle in the country and the top player in South Carolina … named as a four-star recruit by three other major outlets before adding a fifth-star from Rivals after the early signing period … ranked by ESPN as the 58th-best player in the nation, fourth-best defensive tackle in the country and top player in South Carolina … ranked by On3 as the No. 70 player in the nation, the sixth-best defensive tackle and top player in South Carolina … listed by Rivals as the No. 111 overall player in the country, the sixth-best defensive tackle and top player in South Carolina … named to the Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio and earned the organization’s Anthony Muñoz Lineman of the Year award … as of the Early Signing Day, had collected 250 career tackles, 40 tackles for loss and 14 sacks … named to the South Carolina team for the 2024 Shrine Bowl”.

He played DL and OL as well. He also competed in track and field, basketball and shot put in high school. He was a “South Carolina 4A state qualifier in the shot put as a junior. Posted season-best throws of 47-3.5 and 46-11, per Athletic.net.”. In basketball he “Averaged 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks during junior basketball season, per MaxPreps.”.

Here is a great article about how Amare’s mom helped motivate him after she had an accident: https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/sports/college/clemson/2025/03/03/amare-adams-clemson-football-2025-top-prospect-dabo-swinney/80010762007/

Todays player spotlight is #59 Dietrick Pennington. He is a redshirt graduate senior offensive lineman for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

He “Enters 2025 having played 85 offensive snaps over 14 career games”.

Dietrick was “Ranked among the top 215 players in the nation by 247Sports and ESPN.com … ranked No. 135 in the nation by 247Sports, the eighth-best offensive lineman and fourth-best player in Tennessee … ESPN.com ranked him as a top 300 player, the ninth-best at his position and sixth-best player in Tennessee … four-star signee according to ESPN.com and 247Sports … PrepStar Top 150 Dream Team selection who ranked as the nation’s No. 9 tackle and the No. 4 player in Tennessee … named Mr. Football for D2-AA in Tennessee in 2020 after being the runner-up for the honor in 2019 … preseason and postseason all-state honoree in 2019 … two-way starter on 2019 D2-AA state title team … MVP of the D2-AA West Region in 2019 and 2020 … postseason all-state D2-AA selection in 2018 … helped team to 9-4 record his senior year … graded at 93 percent or better for every game his junior and senior seasons”. He was “also recruited by LSU, Auburn, Florida State and Georgia … also played basketball and threw shot put and discus”.

In 2021 Dietrick “Played four snaps vs. SC State in collegiate debut before suffering a season-ending knee injury … played 12 snaps vs. Louisiana Tech.”.

In 2022 he “Played 28 offensive snaps over three games … ACC Honor Roll selection … played six snaps vs. Miami (Fla.) … played 10 snaps vs. No. 24 North Carolina.”.

In 2023 he “Enters bowl season having played 22 offensive snaps over eight games … played 11 snaps in season debut vs. Charleston Southern … played five snaps in Clemson’s sack-free win vs. Florida Atlantic … played six snaps vs. Georgia Tech.”.

In 2024 he “Played 31 offensive snaps in two game appearances … saw action on special teams in season debut vs. No. 1 Georgia … played 31 snaps vs. Appalachian State … eligible for a mid-career redshirt after suffering a season-ending knee injury in September”.

Unfortunately Dietrick spent about half of his time at Clemson with injuries. He should be healthy this year though. I hope he stays healthy and has a great final year at Clemson.

Todays spotlight will be a double feature since there are two #58s for Clemson this year.

So our first spotlight will be on #58 Aidan Hydrick. He is a redshirt freshman defensive lineman for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

Aidan “Joined Clemson as a walk-on in 2024 and enters 2025 having played one career snap in one game appearance.”.

He “Lettered at Briarcrest Christian School … was an all-region selection for Division 2-AAA in 2023 … posted eight tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble amid his 27 tackles as a senior before electing to walk on at Clemson.”.

He is “majoring in general engineering.”.

Here is his bio: https://clemsontigers.com/sports/football/roster/season/2025/aidan-hydrick/

Here is his Hudl profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/9805055/Aidan-Hydrick

Here is his instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aidanhydrick/

Here is his twitter: https://x.com/AidanHydrick7

Our second player spotlight is #58 Holden Caspersen. He is a redshirt graduate senior long snapper for the 2025 Clemson Tigers.

Holden “Joined Clemson as a walk-on in 2021 and enters 2025 having previously appeared in 43 career games … second-team All-ACC selection at long snapper by Phil Steele in 2024 … praised by Dabo Swinney for the consistency of his snaps with regard to laces already being positioned out for holders on placekicks.”.

He “Snapped at Roswell (Ga.) High School … named as a five-star snapping prospect by Rubio Long Snapping.”.

In 2021 Holden “Appeared in two games while redshirting … made collegiate debut vs. SC State … snapped on Clemson’s final two punts vs. UConn.”.

In 2022 he “Earned starting long snapper job on punts prior to the season opener against Georgia Tech and served in that role for all 14 contests … All-ACC Academic Team selection … made a special teams tackle at Notre Dame … added another special teams tackle vs. Louisville … recorded a tackle vs. No. 24 North Carolina.”.

In 2023 he was “Named as Clemson’s starting long snapper for placekicks coming out of fall camp … snapped in all 13 games … All-ACC Academic Team selection … snapped for placekicker Jonathan Weitz’s legacy-setting 3-for-3 performances in wins against South Carolina and Kentucky to close the season.“.

In 2024 “Once again assumed starting long snapping duties for placekicks and snapped in all 14 games … earned second-team All-ACC recognition from Phil Steele … All-ACC Academic Team selection … snapped for Nolan Hauser’s game-winning 56-yard walk-off field goal to win the ACC Championship Game vs. No. 8 SMU.”.

Everyone praises Nolan for his game winning kick in the Acc championship game (as they should) but that kick probably never would have been made if Holden didn’t snap a perfect ball to our holder. The good snap and hold definitely is what helped Nolan make that kick.

Holden “earned degree in financial management in May 2024 … completed microinternships with Credit Suisse in New York in spring 2022, with Google in California in spring 2023 and with Gallo Winery in Atlanta in spring 2024 … opted to walk-on at Clemson over scholarship offers from Tulane, Stetson and Kennesaw State … three-time ACC Honor Roll selection (2021-23) … three-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree (2022-24) … NFF Hampshire Honor Society member.”.
