All ND's home games will be on NBC. - ND eligible for the ACC championship. - ND gets all the ACC bowl tie ins. - ND and the ACC split all tv money (NBC and ESPN). - ND plays Clemson and Florida State at home in South Bend.
Huge win for Swarbrick! Got everything he wanted.

No surprise. Swoff is worse without Jim Barker than he was with him. And that is saying something

Let ND sit home and cry. SOS wise it think we’d end up as good or better off with UNC and Louisville.

They do all of these schedule changes at the expense of many to reduce the season by onlly one game. I would propose that they simply drop one game and keep the rest of the schedule the same. Notre Dame would have 6 games scheduled with ACC teams. Then you find four ACC teams that lost key out of conference games and schedule them with Notre Dame. Notre Dame's games, as evry other year, per their demand, would not count as conference games.
To let someone, even Notre Dame, become a conference member willy nilly is just pathetic. They did to cater to Notre Dame at the expense of 14 other schools. And it is debatable as to whether they did it for money because that is undetermined yet. It is certain Notre Dame will make more mmoney, not sure the other 14 will. We split our normal money, which was a larger amount than what Notre Dame is contributing in a 15 split. The 14 gain an additioinal $1 moillion from Notre Dame money, but how much do we lose by splitting our money with ND. We are probably net negative and Notre Dame is net positive.
This from the Notre Dame Board:
All ND's home games will be on NBC. - ND eligible for the ACC championship. - ND gets all the ACC bowl tie ins. - ND and the ACC split all tv money (NBC and ESPN). - ND plays Clemson and Florida State at home in South Bend.
Huge win for Swarbrick! Got everything he wanted.

ND has to play Clemson, UNC, Louisville, and Florida State. Clemson does not have to play three of those teams ">">">

We have a new road game with VT and their 19 returning

starters. I''d rather play UNC or Louisville. I'd certainly rather play Louisville at home as was scheduled, than play Virginia Tech on the road. I'd also rather play UNC for that matter.
Virginia Tech 19 starters returning and preseason #18 on the road. That's the new game we got. ANd replaced home game with NC State with home vs Pitt and Miami. And may now have to play Notre Dame a second time if we make the title game. Complete and utter BS just to cater to Notre Dame.

Swofford couldn't negotiate his way out of his own driveway with a map, compass, and a GPS.

I'm actually hoping the season gets canceled at this point.

I never thought I would say that. I really wanted to see Lawrence and Etienne one more year. But honestly, I doubt any of the players want to play at this point, especially risk their future on an asterisk year. And the ACC just made sure it was an asterisk year.

Swofford scheduled ND and gave them ACCCG and bowl tie ins?
I don't care for ND, but with our D and our returning skills players on offense, preseason #1, and presumed favorite to win ANOTHER ACC champ, ANOTHER CFP berth, add #7 consecutive on the coots, I could never imagine wanting to give that up bc I dont care for ND.

I have no issue with any of this. National media will no longer insinuate that we haven’t played anyone and don’t deserve to be in the championship. Also, having ND in the ACC (even for 1 year) is good for the conference perception nationwide.

Good for them. I am glad they are in the conference this year. This should be a great season.
