When they see positive posts on here about our dumpster fire of a football program? I can't tell if these sunshine pumpers are truly that delusional or they are trying to troll

Its pathetic that someone gets angry about kids playing football. That said, Dabo has done so many great things for the football program, the athletic department, and the university its also pathetic when someone cherry picks only the bad without the entire context.

I would disagree with you there. Some these guys are getting paid a LOT of money---they're basically professionals. So I think ALL the criticism is perfectly valid. Things have changed.

Will impact their salary?
Its a sports board. That's what people do on sports board. They discuss sports ... in this case, Clemson football ... good and bad ... they opine, they armchair coach/QB, they pump sunshine or whine and complain. No one is saying it has an impact on the team or salaries. They are simply discussing Clemson sports, for good and bad.

No what has changed is the fanbase (young , new , and old alike ) got spoiled by Dabo Swinney taking us on a ride to the top. Those fans that now bash and blame he and his every move or decision are simply unable to cope with the slide down that hill. They struggle with reality. "Sunshine Pumpers" simply understand that this all really doesn't matter , that just being a part of it all for better or for the current worse is temporary ...and if the man did it twice , then it's perfectly acceptable to expect that this is indeed temporary and we can all just relax and stay the course.

So you're happy if he takes the money, gives his kids the money, and rides us to the bottom? You'll just say thanks for the natty 8 years ago?
However, let's keep in mind while everyone loved Danny Ford at Clemson he sucked at Arkansas and got fired after achieving a losing record. This is only to say that thinking if we hire a new coach with a "proven" track record, like Askansas did, all will be better is simply not true. Danny was a great coach...at Clemson but there is something about coaching that if you kind find that magic again you're just done. There are only a tiny handful of coaches that have been great everywhere they went and even the great Nick Saban sucked as a pro-coach. I think that is why he retired when he did. He hated the dynamics of pro football and saw college turning into that same animal. He did not want to coach in that crap so he got out.
One of his biggest allies is Dabo Swinney. I have always believe that there are pro-coaches and college coaches. Procoaches are navigating the dynamics of highly paid players but sometimes are not great with coaching unpaid college kids. College coaches need the benefit of being the authority figure that disappears when you have mere children being paid 1 million dollars to play college football.

It's not someone getting angry over "kids" playing football
It's fans who spend thousands every year for entertainment by grown men who make 300k to 11.5 million dollars a year to provide a putrid product.

1) Withholding the thousands spent every year. 2) Reaching out to the AD, board, etc… to voice concerns since those are the folks who have a say.
If you really want to make a difference, roll up your sleeves and get to real work. Until folks do that, I guess everyone else will just have to listen to the non stop whining, I mean constructive criticism.

because I don’t control that. I think there is an issue with messaging here. You have a message, you just don’t understand who needs to hear the message. Unless, of course, you are just whining, which is not constructive. And I know you are a constructive person because you built a bridge for the dumb.

What is the point of a Clemson football message board if people get whiny and butt sore when people discuss the horrific failures of the HC and staff?
If we should only comment on things we all have to take action on, wouldn’t the website shut down from inactivity?
Inauthentic positivity is just as bad as the dumpers. Actually way worse.

and getting a putrid product, then, as a fan, take action and quit whining about it. If all you can do is whine, then you really aren’t ready for change. And that’s ok, just be honest with everyone about why you are here. I mean, that’s what many complainers are asking Dabo to do with them, be honest.

Agreed, but I think this case is less about players getting paid and being semi-pro, and more about ... this is literally a sports boad. it was made precisely to discuss all aspects, good or bad, of Clemson sports. so, asking if someone thinks their posts will impact salaries is a red herring ... the poster never suggested it would.

The correct context: our players are not kids, they are highly compensated students athletes. Coaches make millions to coach. If we played well and lost to a better team, we could understand. Playing with little emotion and looking totally disorganized plus loses to less talented teams is totally unacceptable. I don’t get mad but will express my opinion

Your making me laugh. You are full of yourself.. Angry because people just love Clemson because it's...Clemson? And staying positive is always a good thing even in the darkness days of something. You know like Britain on its knees after Dunkirk but fighting back positively to beat the Nazis.

As someone who has made positive posts (and not so positive) I agree the season so far is a dumpster fire, no question. But every game it boils down to a lack of focus, energy, and mistakes that snowball. It take too long to list all the reasons. For me negative posts (at least by me) are mostly emotional and reactive. Positive ones, more reasoned with more of a big picture approach. Don't mistake them for a lack of frustration at the current state of the program.

No.
That’s their opinion. Charlie Kirk was killed because people got “angry” over his opinion. I don’t agree with these orange glasses wearing sunshine pumpers but I’m not angry they feel that way.
Now it annoys me when they call out other fans for their displeasure in the state of our program then go on to downplay the problems and constantly use our pre Covid record and our previous success as a reason we are fine today.
