In terms of ferocity? Absolutely not. BV was scary to interact with off the field. He was a semi regular at the restaurant that I worked at while at Clemson and those eyes invoke the feeling of terror.

Actually, I've never seen another coach with the unrestrained fierceness as Venables on the sidelines in games that were close, or games when we were behind on the score board!!!

There's only one Jimmy Greenbeans.

Tom Allen is a B+ type of coach. Far better than the likes of Kevin Steele or Wes but you only get a guy like venables once every 20 years.

Last guys like him was Bud Foster at VT, and Mickey Andrews at FSU.
