DJ tonight

Sep 5, 2021, 12:28 AM

I don’t post often, but I haven’t seen one person mention that DJ looked rattled from beginning to end tonight. If anyone else played QB for us tonight we would have won. No heart, no hustle, no fun. Play calling didn’t help but I feel like DJ couldn’t have walked down a set of stairs tonight. I saw him have a hard time swallowing his own spit on the first drive and knew we were in trouble. Watson and Lawrence always looked cool under pressure from the start. DJ looks like he just got paid by Dr Pepper and feels the pressure to live up to the hype. He needed to be benched at halftime just to get his horrible energy away from the rest of the team. Justin Ross at QB would have won it tonight. I mean did anyone else hate the way DJ does pretty much everything??? He stomps wrong at the snap, he telegraphs his handoffs and pitches, he jogs instead of runs, he throws it out of bounds when he should make a play, he takes sacks without any effort and his face looks scared and confused. I respect this board and maybe I’m wrong but I just wanted to vent because DJ and his attitude/energy/demeanor/leadership absolutely sucked tonight. Something messed up his mojo this summer and I really hope he finds it soon. We should have won that boring ### game is really all I’m saying ??

He looked emotionless and uninterested. Game looked to fast for him. Didn’t last year. He threw for over 400 against nd last year on the road. Without Ross, Ngata, etc. Something weird was going on all night. I doubt he will be here next year.

I agree with you. From the first play, I felt he was just not in the game mode. More Like shaking and could not handle the pressure. I knew we were in trouble. But I was hoping it would be better once he settled down. Unfortunately, it did not happen. He is not a real rookie QB. So I do blame his very bad performance tonight. The whole O line started getting frustrated after the first three throws. Just lack a leader on the Oline tonight.
