1. Disappointed he chose to go that route. Could have shown a little more respect in what he shared. 2. It’s in the player to execute and DJ just didn’t
Being said- if I am honest I agree and did all of last year we coached scared and his best attribute was what they shy away from. He was going to throw picks so let the cannon loose or bench him. We did neither. Hence Streeter fired.

couple years. That doesn’t explain some of the head scratching plays he made during that same time frame.

He had/has cement feet. Play had to be either a 3 to 4 step back pass, handoff or straight ahead run

Is he even going to start for Oregon state? To be fair he did not have the same weapons as freshman year and the offense runs on playmakers at skill spots. For so long we plugged and played with elite qbs and athletes at playmaker slots. For the past two years we had the luxury of average to below and did not have time or pedigree to acquiesce to dj and his limitations.

If he does start, he will fold under any type of pressure. That is why, in my opinion, he has no chance of playing pro ball.

I think he was just a bad fit at Clemson from the get go. Didn’t really fit our scheme. Can only imagine how homesick he must have been with everything going on with his parents. All that plus an unlimited supply of Bojangles was a recipe for disaster!

Nealon Greene - but that is ancient history. He threw high over and over. I always thot he must have been a great player at practice because they kept starting him. You could actually hear the radio booth guys say "he did it again" in the background....

DJ should be a punter. As far as being a QB he simply does not have the instincts, decision making, intuition or leadership.

We didn't coach scared. We coached him how we had to.***

I hope he crushes it, and I will be pulling for him
I still think more than half the blame is on him (Slow feet, slow release, slow decisions)
But, the scheme and the qb coaching didn’t help.
I hope whoever is coaching him is working hard to get his footwork up to par, because it’s criminal to to waste height and arm strength like he has

We threw it all over the field against South Carolina

Which is why we lost. Because that was probably DJs worst game ever. South Carolina came into that game with a run defense ranked around 112. We were getting over 5 yards per carry. Had we keep it on the ground we would have won that game and gone to the playoffs.
I’ve been saying for two years our problem is been coaching. DJ was a bust. The OL is still not where it should be. And yes, we have had a bunch of injuries. But our biggest problem the past two years? Coaching!
