I’m an orange sunshine pumping fool and a big supporter of Dabo and will still continue to be. However, he would preach humility. He has become anything but. Admit you’re wrong and things aren’t going great. I’m not voting to fire him. I’m not crying about the season. But admit that things have declined recently, own up to it. He has lost that hunger that he used to have. He has apparently lost his humility. I will still pull for Clemson even if we win 2 games. I will still always be a Dabo supporter but #### man just own up, right the ship, get your hunger back.

I wish that were true. And maybe it is. I won't know until it happens. As excited as I was about our OC hire, I have not seen the ingenuity I'd hoped for. Our offense is stale, predictable. Maybe as you said our qb isn't playing great and it doesn't open up other opportunities. But, I also watch teams that have unknown qbs sling it, run it, etc. and their offenses are more fun to watch. I'm not #### bent on it because I can't see behind the scenes, but I think our issues are bigger than just Cade. Now would we have won Saturday if he'd played better? Absolutely.

IMO Dabo was just irritated because the media questions were getting a little tougher today. He has a record of being real sensitive to that. Good thing he is not a NFL coach and have to face big city reporters and media

What I meant was when he was a hungry nobody of a coach, if we lost, he would say things like “we got our butt kicked”, and “we’re going to fix it. “ Now he just talks about about the past and threatens to leave. We’re not paying him A $11 million a year for what he did six years ago, we’re paying $11 million a year to win this year

I take it as he is defending his program and his team. Regardless of your opinion of where the program is at or reason that they are 1-2 this year, he has taken us to the top of the mountain and no one did that for 30+ years before him so I will stick with him to get it straight. Beat the coots and let’s win some others along the way and see where we are at in early December.

I will stick with him too. I just think he needs to do a little reflection. He is being too defensive and not taking ownership. I tend to do the same thing at first, but then when I own up that's when I grow. Absolutely, I remember thinking at one point I'd be happy to win one more National Championship before I die. And then there were two more. So agreed. And I know he is a victim of his own success. But, we are really not that far out of the mix, but he has to know there is a problem before he can fix it.

What else should he do? What hasn’t he owned up to?
He has also pointed out the poor play of Cade and the defense not getting off the field in the 4th quarter Saturday.
He took ownership and highlighted the ONLY issues that have kept us from 3-0.
He has taken accountability for fixing Cade to the very best of his ability. He can only do so much with Cades head. We have a team psychologist as well who is constantly “coaching” Cade.
So he has taken full responsibility and is seeking improvement in everything within a coaches control.
So he’s done exactly what you’re saying here. What else can be done? What else should he say to appease the fans?

Appeasing the fans is the least of my worries. This is two qbs in a row that are head cases if that's what you want to say. Then isn't some of that on our coaches for recruiting and/or not developing? My issue is more that I'm going to take my ball and run comments he said today. Our offensive production has not been there for several years now. Our offense is not fun to watch anymore save a few games. He doesn't owe me anything and doesn't need to appease me. But some humility and realizing there is a problem is the start.

DJU was the #1 most coveted QB in the country.
Sep 16, 2025, 3:17 PM
|
|
He didn’t advance here or at two other programs. We literally signed the highest rated recruit in the country but it didn’t translate to college. It’s not the staffs fault the guy didn’t pan out.
Cade was also a 5-star. Number 2 QB. He showed his potential last season and became a front runner for the Heisman after a great season. He did pan out - it’s highly unfortunate he’s in a mental funk, but the staff went after and got a top two QB. You can only say so much to help his mental side.
The offense was 11th last year and it was fun to watch. So far we haven’t seen that form from the QB, but we can’t write him off as “did” three games in.
Otherwise the offense has stalled due to the most important position on the field not performing, especially with DJ.
Dabo HAS taken ownership while also pointing out exactly what you said. I’m not sure how he hasn’t been humble through all of it. He’s taken full accountability while not being afraid to call out the main player that needs to do much better.
So he has done everything you’re saying here.

Preach!!! This is what I’m on. I haven’t seen it these past few years. I swore he’d step back after 2023 and say man. I need to make major changes. Get that fire back. Then 2024 we started to see a little progress and with the returning talent I’m like man I think we are headed back up. Instead with the most talent on paper we look like a team full of nobodies. So you have to ask yourself. What’s the problem? All signs point to the head man and he refuses to look in the mirror and take ownership.

It was not a good look but it's a look we've seen before. If Dabo feels cornered, he's going to play the past success card and the I'll just leave card. Nothing new here.
Problem is, all that will be picked up on ESPN and other national outlets is "If they're tired of winning here, they can get someone else." Just a bad narrative when you are trying to recruit kids to your program.
I am convinced Dabo wants to win and hates losing. I expect to see more changes in the offseason regardless of how this season plays out and that includes with coaches and transfers.

He can very well pick up and go get another coaching job, probably anytime he wants. But it will not, for #### sure, be for +$11.5 million per year and a assistant coaching staff making $10million plus, his every need and want with a call to a high dollar booster and a passionate 80k stadium. He’d coach for a fan base that is grateful for an 8-10 win season and pay commiserate with this.

We're midseason. There's no reason for him or the team to admit defeat at this point. If we go 10-2, we have a chance at the ACC Championship Game. If we don't make the ACC Championship Game, we probably still have the resume' to make the Playoff as an at-large (as that would mean GT had 0 or 1 conference losses and our other loss is to LSU). The team's goals are still all out there at this point.
As a fan, sure it's completely reasonable to think and say aloud that this team and coaching staff don't have it. I don't think that's what the coach should be saying at this point, though, even if we do look headed toward a very mediocre season.
Dabo's message today is just as much to the fans as it is to the players on the team. We just lost a tough game on the road, and the players are hearing how much they suck from everyone, both locally and nationally. Dabo's words today were meant to instill belief in the team.
I do expect us to bounce back and put up good performances against Syracuse, UNC, and BC. The problem will be that SMU, FSU, Louisville, and South Carolina can all hang with us from a talent perspective. We might win a few of those, but there's no reason to believe that we'll win all 4.

When one becomes a multi millionaire in any sport, one loses focus and drive. It is evident in pro golf. Once they win consistently, they don't practice as much and lose that drive. There are of course exceptions like Sheffler and Woods. I think Dabo has lost some.

I too am disappointed. He seems to forget he has a job where success is unfortunately measured in the present. If he can’t accept that then he needs to take his ball and go. I appreciate the past successes and celebrated them when they came, but anyone who watches football can see the differences between the Championship teams and this current team. Every weekend I watch teams that are better coached!!!!! It’s time our coaches acknowledges their part in the difference between those teams and grow thicker skin when questioned why.

His true colors are showing. I’m happy with what he has given us but he is quite narcissistic and likes to hear his own voice. The biggest problem people have is if we looked good and lost im sure people wouldn’t be as mad. But the way we have looked the last few years has been terrible.
