Just two good teams making plays. They made a few more than we did. Both teams deserve to be ranked 15-20. Don't think either are play-off caliber.. but you never know. We will get better and who knows. We have an uphill battle and probably some teams will need to lose but it happened last year.

No. Even with recruiting misses, Clemson is still a markedly more talented team than Tech.
A good top 10 team beats this tech team by 10 points minimum. I’m not saying you can’t have margin for an occasional upset, but we’ve seen that #### show for five years straight now.

Nope - took 3 games to go from Top 5 to unranked. Not really the players fault though, they weren’t the ones ranking them for no good reason.

Correct. 2 evenly matched teams. One made up of 4 and 5 star players and one made up of 2 and 3 star architects and engineers. Coaching and attitude is what made it uneven.

Idk what's gonna happen down the line but I'd rather lose early than late in the season. Will the team develop into what we thought it could be?
The offense started putting it together in the second half to what I think most of us were thinking we'd be game 1. Idk if that will carry over or we'll see more of the same with slow starts but I saw some good to feel like the O is really close to clicking. Could be too little too late but I'm interested to see what happens.
The good news? Well, pressure is off now for this team. Everyone will have rightfully written them off and best you can do is try to win the rest of the games on the schedule and let things fall as they will. IDK if that means we go 2-10 or 10-2 but guess we'll find out.

Most excellent assessment and post. As I posted in the original post, Ga Tech ain't chump change. Someone posted our blue-chip ratio was less than 50% now. It always comes back to the Jimmy and Joe's. We have a few top rated players but not near what we had last decade.
I'm a bit more disappointed in our defense. NFL rated line but we're getting out physicaled at the line. Didn't shock me with lsu but it does with Tech. Both kings are good players but their oline beat us...

Actually I'll give you a serious imo reply. First I think ga tech is a good team. He's built a good staff. They play hard discipline football. One stop, one fumble by cade, we probably do win.
But I've never considered myself a pumper or a dumper. Try to be a realist. I've said (to a lot of criticism) that our recruiting has gone down. Our evaluation and our development has regressed from last decade.
That said, we can compete with top 20 teams. I don't think we can compete with top 12 teams. We made some good plays. The most shocking to me is the defense. We are as good as Cade is. But I'd lump us in with a mizzou, an Arizona. At the end of the year, we'll all be lumped together between 15-25 rank. I really think we're saying the same thing. It's disappointing but I'm not shocked... I laughed and argued with all the pre-season hype. I never bought into. Thus my original post. You'll see a lot of good when you re-watch the game.
