run our Offense instead of sticking solely with the friends and family plan of inexperienced coaches like those running our Defense?
I've seen a lot of experts on here psycho babbling about Dabo and his hubris and such surrounding himself with sycophants on the coaching staff because he's lost his fire and all, yet we are fielding a normally stout Clemson D every week with those cats yet are largely hit and miss on Offense.
The only QB coach in the country that out-performed Streeter during his long run here was Lincoln Riley, and by 'out-performed' we're talking only individual awards and such, not championships. I have to wonder if Dabo had stuck it out with Streeter despite all the expert quacking if perhaps we wouldn't be killing it in that category this season as well?
Go Tigers!

Dabo allocated millions to a new OC and system just for looks?
That sounds... exceptionally reasonable.

A HR hire? Lol. He sucks. This offense couldn’t even score 20 points on Wake.

1) What do you mean Streeter had a long run? 2) Why are you talking about Limcoln Riley?

Streeter took over as QB coach after Morris left late 2014 and remained in that role through the end of last season, in addition to assuming the OC role for one year, where we improved significantly over the prior season.
Comparing to Lincoln Riley, as he was the only QB coach in the biz who had as much consistent success as Streeter did over that span from that position, for perspective.

Didn't know Lincoln Riley was a QB coach before. Thanks for the clarification.

Well, just going from memory the biggest turnaround OC in Clemson's history was Rich Rod. The man knew how to score points in that era. But, to get his system installed and clicking took about half the season. By year end we had gone from the West days of 10 points per game up into the 40's with the same players. He did the same thing at Tulane and again at West Virginia. Don't think Garrett Riley has the receivers and O line in place to make a huge turnaround but if we don't at least show progress from the first half of the season to year end I will be surprised. If he struggles again next year with two good QB's and some additional foot speed then I will call him a bust. Way too early to judge the man IMO.
