We're back to 8 conference games. Hopefully that means we'll still play 2-4 times per decade...

expands to 16 teams and a 9 conference schedule. When they begin playing a 9-game conference schedule, they will not schedule anything more than cupcakes O-O-C, due to also playing Georgia Tech. I realy do believe this will be the last time we see them here.

By the way, it has been 10 years since we played UGA.

We haven't played them recently more than twice every 10 years. When they go to a 9-game conference schedule, it won't be like anything is being lost on their side by not playing us.

But it SOUNDED like both schools' athletic departments were committed to playing one another as often as possible... But, yes, if 16-team conferences turn into 9-game conference schedules... Then I the series is endangered.

schedule when we do expand to 16. We will have to go to 9 in order to preserve conference rivalries between some teams in the West and to eventually play all conference teams. For example, Georgia has a long rivalry with Auburn. UT and Alabama are long-time rivals.
