Defensive coordinator

These last couple days everyone on here people have been talking about how they are so sure we’re getting a new D coordinator. I’m just not so sure. The way Dabo talked about him when he promoted him calling him one of the smartest football minds he has ever been around. I just don’t see it translating to the game and getting them ready to play. What id like to see is him go back to analyst roll and bring in someone to get all the talent motivated and working with the same goal in mind. When are defense is top 10 we can play with anyone. Defense wins championships. Flashy high scoring offense is fun but if you can’t stop the other teams it will catch up to you.

The game is won in the trenches. Always has and always will. Matt Luke has turned the corner on the OL. If we had a stout DL we would have been better this year. For some reason our front four could not stop the run. Couldn’t set the edge and definitely did not tie up the entire Opponents OL, letting them get to our second level. We need more big nasties up front that are cat quick.

he coaches or hires/promotes. Coach speak at it's finest............sometimes he speaks more out of hope than reality.

Wes is pretty smart IMO, but all smart men can't coach or coordinate an offense or defense just bc they're really smart. Before a smart will ever be a really good coordinator, he will first need years of experience coaching on the side of the game that they'll someday want to coordinate. Before someone will ever be successful at coaching, they must know how to teach and be very good at it!!!
