Well, aren't most white people racist in the eyes of some ? I had a black supervisor that only promoted blacks. All races have some racists in them.

There has been a hard truth for years in women’s college athletics: It can be difficult to draw any sort of correlation with winning and the bottom line. Take the last women’s basketball season, for example. An Auburn team that went .500 in conference play, barely made the NCAA Tournament and was bounced in the First Four reported a budget deficit of nearly $5.1 million. Meanwhile, playing in the same conference was the best college basketball team in years. Under coach Dawn Staley, South Carolina (38-0) became the 10th team in women’s college basketball to go undefeated en route to a national championship — the Gamecocks’ third under Staley. And, well, the Gamecocks reported a financial loss even greater than Auburn — in the red more than $5.6 million during fiscal year 2024, which ran from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. A review of South Carolina’s annual report, an exclusive interview with new USC athletic director Jeremiah Donati and additional reporting produced these findings: ▪ The Gamecocks’ women’s basketball program had almost $5.9 million in revenue in FY24, but the program ran a net budget loss in large part because of coaching salaries.

Because of the astronomical costs. Even most of the top baseball programs don’t make money off of it. Only like a handful of SEC teams.

Amen. I think most races feel as you and I do. It’s people of any race that sees profit thru the use of racism that will play that card most every time.
Most of the other races of people I have spoken with realize some use racism ito keep us Americans divided. Most people just want to live their lives and ignore a persons skin color.

I went through two boxes of tissues after reading that whiny
a$$ story...Dawn Staley is a rich woman and she has achieved
the American dream,so why the sob story. I grew up in Greenville
in the Mill Hill Village and folks didn't have sh!t but most worked
hard and made it and didn't whine.

I'm sure some have a prejudice solely based on the fact she is black but those folks are a very small percentage. And they likely aren't on TigerNet.
She is an excellent coach and has earned the right to be called one of the best.

I don't think it is the race that ticks people off. Skin color has nothing to do with it. It is the behavior that makes them mad. Most people could care less what color your skin is but how you treat them and how you act toward them. Racism has become big business and will not go away soon because those profiting from it will continue to promote it.

The way she acted at her age when Gameday was in Columbia, was laughable. I’d be embarrassed if she was at Clemson.
