Dude takes every chance he can to bash Dabo, bring up old comments and stories while being super passive aggressive…. Acknowledging people took comments out of context and then, wait for it, takes them out of context. I can’t stand this dude.

AND THAT is the reason for TODAY’s hatchet job. He was called out, rightfully, and embarrassed in front of his peers, deservedly, 7 years ago and he’s not over it yet. He still hasn’t gotten the message. I don’t believe he will ever get the message. It’s personal with him now. It will always be personal with him.
My solution would be simple. If he’s at the press conference, I won’t be. No ifs, no ands, no buts. Fine me, fire me, eat me, I don’t care. Carve it and stone and paint it red. He’s out and it’s permanent.

Absolutely absurd he still has credentials. Every press conference all the media members are asking football and personal questions and he ALWAYS asks something of the wall, about social Justice, covid, NIL, etc. even trying to avoid his articles e still can’t get away from him if we watch the TNET interviews. Would love if we cut i him off, just always bad vibes and intentions from him, no need for that negativity around the program.

some of the mistakes, or misunderstood stances Dabo had, but also buttressed those with comments and stances from his players of what a quality man he is, how much they believe in his core beliefs. I see this article as a balanced look at who Dabo is, and why he is that way. I think it was as much as a defense of Dabo as it was a hatched job. It was 'this is Dabo' in a quality way.
More negative stories exist than this commentary on Dabo, Saban, Spurrier, Harbaugh, all the great coaches.

Oh by the way, his players love him— but they don’t agree with the things he says. Also, the first 3 segments of the article, by the time many casual readers would stop reading or skimming, is all the laced with negatives, inferences that he’s unwilling to change and is stubborn, etc.
But for sure, too each their own on how we take the articles. I’m just not a fan and feels like he’s beating a dead horse and saying “Oh by the way, don’t forget this!”

Milk money at school. The guy doesn't have the guts to call Dabo out himself, he continually alludes to and/or attributes criticism to others real or imagined.
To bash Dabo for hiring internal on BV and Elliot is mentally-impaired at best. Organizations who believe in their culture, build from within and add external elements as needed. By the way, Disney/ESPN is not a world class culture to work for anymore. The deuce I took this morning has more culture and corn for that matter than Disney/ESPN have class.
Hale casting stones from his tower of hypocrisy. His organization is the last place you would go for culture advice. A bunch of regressive freaks claiming gender is not science. Hale and his ilk truly need to have a visit from the guy in Fargo and summarily put in the woodchipper of life.

He still ended up saying that he pretty much disagrees with any of the good things said about Dabo, even by the players when he said Dabo is rolling the dice this year and he (Dabo) likes his chances. All the way through the article using out of context comments from players and coaches to make it sound like they are not all in with him. The entire article was full of innuendo that Dabo is an entitled, manipulative racist that wants everything his way. There is no doubt the guy has an agenda.
I don’t think the staff should ban this guy from Dabo’s press conferences. Have him sit there and just never call on him to ask a question. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

This board complains incessantly about the things mentioned in the article; not using the portal, when Goodwin and Streeter were promoted, NIL.
It wasn't a puff piece, but it wasn't a hatchet job either. Anyone here upset Dabo is going to do it his way? By the complaints there sure are some.
I'll bet on Dabo everytime with a chip on his shoulder. And this article shows just that.

He uses writer tactics where he comes off as giving kudos or a complement, but then tosses in a backhanded comment or inserts what he labels a “common narrative” to completely negate whatever he said “positive”. It’s on purpose and he clearly has an agenda. Using terms like “ultimate white privilege”. These are some quick examples I pulled but the entire thing is like this, I don’t understand how anyone thinks this is a “fair” article, clearly agenda driven with hopefully enough positives to not lose access to Clemson pressers.
“But at the time, Swinney's positive vibes were interpreted as the ultimate example of white privilege.”
In the aftermath, he acknowledged support for "Black Lives Matter" but also called the criticism "an attack on my character." Despite that support, he later suggested social justice patches on Clemson's uniforms were an inappropriate aesthetic.
Swinney listened to stories from his players who'd endured the worst of America, who raged against a system that would never afford them the same opportunities as Swinney had, just because he is white and they are not.

And how many HS football players are going to read the entire article and not just the first 6 to 8 paragraphs? 5% - 10%? Do you think ESPN knows how many will read it in its entirety? This article will be used to recruit against us and Hale and ESPN know this.

Judge,
It’s college sports, while I think a team, a writer or even a poster on TNET can be out of touch with reality, bashing our program or have an agenda… it’s still all fun and games, I hope no one is losing sleep over something like this or anything else about sports. The passion and pride for our (or any other program) is why we football! Trust me, I am self aware enough that my one click or lack there, or talking about him, etc makes no difference for him or ESPN, just having’ fun!!!!

Dabo will use his articles for the purpose of motivating his team. David is exactly what we need to keep this team humble enough as the underdog with a huge chip on their shoulders.
Clemson plays their best when being underestimated!
Dabo already said his peace to David during the press conference but it wasn’t about the latest article. I think this was supposed to be a makeup article with Dabo but he failed again.
