(which has bitten me twice) was able to open a bottle of (dog) medication and had eaten the entire contents. She took him to a vet and he will be okay (to bite me again). On the way home, he tapped on the car window like he always does to let her know that he wants it open so he can stick his head out in the wind. My first thought was, " if he can get a pill bottle open, why the heck doesn't he know how to use one toe to open the darn window?"

Cool… but I’ll never catch you. I hope all is going well for you and your family. Me and mine are doing well.

Good question. I have two Great Danes. Our vet does better than my doctor. Missing Charlie Timmerman.

After waiting for over an hour while the weekend on-call vet was with another dog, an assistant came out and said the vet would be out as soon as he got off the phone with the national poison center ( which my daughter had done before coming 30 miles). That was all she could take and told the person that she would pay for the time he spent on the phone but nothing else and she was leaving without him seeing the dog! There was no charge.

Dogs never want their pack leader to feel they are independent and not needing you, they are a lot smarter than they want us to know they are

My Boston Terrier, Sheldon, goes almost everywhere with me, and when I stop at a local convenience store, the people will always ask if I brought him, so they can go out and see him.
I typically leave the passenger side wondow about halfway down and the driver's side cracked enough so I can get my arm in, if he locks me out. He has done it more than a few times. I leave it running with the ac or heat on depending on time of year.
He has figured out how to unlock the windows and rolls both sides all the way down now. He has also figured out how to take the car out of econ mode to make the ac fan run faster.
If he could lesrn how to drive the darn thing, I could start drinking on the way to tailgate.

A long time ago I had long legged Jack Russell. One day I pointed out a squirrel which she chased up a dogwood tree to about shoulder height. Dogs truly are amazing!

One of our Black Labs can open the door coming in from the garage to let herself in. She can also open the door from the inside to let herself and the other 2 Labs out. Now, if she would only learn how to shut the door, I'm good.
