Dabo's trait that goes much farther

then faith, hopes, and prayers.
His passion, the passion for the love of the game.
I could use Auburn 2011, the USUC rant, or him defending the real Death Valley as examples.
But my favorite one is his reaction after 4th & 16, every coach would be ecstatic about getting that play in that situation. But the way Dabo reacts after it is priceless, jumping up and down and swinging his arm in a circle with the same message as every true Tiger fan that bleeds orange.
"LET'S GET THAT BALL DOWN THE FIELD"
Some take it off as cheesy and goofy, but I can guarantee if his antics get me pumped up through the TV screen, his energy has to be absolutely contagious to the team.
So in my opinion, his passion is his greatest trait of it all. It shows more of his character then what fate he chooses to believe.
Faith and prayers don't win football games.

for it when Bowden was criticized for being an executive coach. I'll take Dabo's energy and good ol' boy gaffs any day and twice on Saturdays in the Death Valley (the real one of course).

I totally agree! It is a game and meant to be enjoyed! I think those who work and sweat to be a part of the game, should be emphatic and enthusiastic when a plan comes together!! Happiness is not limited to us fans sitting on our butts in the stands. The old song says, If you happy and you know it! Clap your hands. Go Dabo!

Without getting into commentary about coaching ability, it jazzes me up to see the coach as excited as I am.

Good coaches get excited because their heart and soul bleeds the team effort. All the time, sacrifice, disappointments along the way... it builds up in a person who genuinely lives their passion.
You see a coach who is stoic no matter what and you can bet this job is not his life's passion or it has long since ceased to be. It is a job and that is it.
The day Dabo stops being Dabo is the day we need to start looking for another coach who still gets that fire burning.
Coaching is much more than a job. It is like an artist doing his life's work. He would probably do it even if not paid because it is that important to him.
Go Dabo and go T-I-G-E-R-S!!! Make 2013 special!

players. our young neighbor had a birthday and ran into some of the players at subway and they wished her a happy birthday and had a picture taken with her. You hear stories like this all the time and I believe it's because he exemplifies that kind of character.

Dabos trait is that he is a people person. He knows how to build relationships. You guys are aware that when he decided to come to CU to be the WR coach for Bowden he was making about $250,000/yr in commercial real estate? Took a pay cut to get back into coaching. The guy would be successful if he ran a lemonade stand. If he ever gets out of Coaching bet you he ends up a CEO or CMO of some company. My guess is Steve Robinson at Chic Fil A would hire him in a second.
