There are three letters that makes that much easier and possible it’s called the ACC.
Every undefeated schedule is not the same. Fortunately, they do get to play a few SEC teams, but they play a whole lot of cupcakes in between that increase their odds. He knows better and would never say that if he was in the SEC. I know he thanks God daily Clemson he gets to stay in that conference. It keeps putting a lot of money in his pockets.

We play the cards we are dealt. You can't crow about how awesome the SEC is and then whine about your losses. I mean, it's a freakin' GAUNLET, top to bottom, week in and week out. They just beat each other up. Or they're "battle tested" and will do better in the playoffs than some team that played weak sisters in the A-She-She. Or something like that. It depends on the outcome.
That 15-0 team that had it so easy beat 3 SEC teams, including beating Saban's greatest team evah 44-16 in front of everyone on national TV. Ouch.

There are plenty of uncompetitive games on SEC schedules every year.
They do have some good teams at the top, but they don’t play each other every year.
When we are good, we beat SEC teams, when we are not we have trouble….
That is true every year. This year looks good!
Last year our D let us down in some big games.
We have to play our best every week to win championships!

Absolutely, and yes, the ACC has been a weak conference for years in FB, but it is a strength with Basketball and baseball.
Judging Clemson as an ACC team in FB, it would only be fair to say that Clemson is as good as any team in any conference when looking at the results especially when looking at the way Clemson destroyed the best team in Bama at the time Bama had the best HC in Saban when Clemson destroyed them...

Just a guess , but if Clemson did go 16-0, I’d guess it would include at least 4 run-ins with SEC teams with 3 being upper tier and South Carolina.
Probably wouldn’t get the advantage of playing a normal SEC schedule against Vandy, UK, Auburn,Oklahoma, Florida,Missouri Miss.St., you know, the teams that make it a MEAT GRINDER of a schedule!

Typical response from a brainwashed parrot SEC homer. Yes, LSU had a good year. Subtract three plays (Jamar Chase was awesome that day) and Clemson wins. The preseason polls mean nothing. Here is the correct information:
LSU beat EIGHT teams ranked in the preseason.
LSU beat SEVEN teams ranked in the top 25 (SIX in the top 20) in the final rankings.

Texas. 8. 25
Florida. 8. 6
Auburn. 16. 14
Alabama. 2. 8
Georgia. 3. 4
Oklahoma. 4. 7
Clemson. 1 2
Texas A&M. 12. NR
The preseason rankings are typically stacked in favor of the SEC so that they beat “ranked teams” like Texas A&M during the season, then one or more falls apart and has a disappointing season but the win is still a, “feather in the cap.”
The only thing that matters is who won at the end. It does not matter how you get there.

Dabo has had better seasons since becoming the HC at Clemson than any HC ever at Clemson. It doesn't matter to me what he says or when he says it, I'm OK with it for as long as he is our HC!!!

All I know is....You're either great or your not and if Clemson wasn't great those years then they had no business not just winning, but beating the brakes off of teams like OK, ND, OSU, and Bama. Everyone plays cupcakes and teams that are harder than others, but its what you do when it matters. Those teams found out Clemson wasn't just an ACC team, they were an ELITE team. People can throw around Conf this and Conf that....I don't give a F, all I care about is the team being great and elite.

You didn't hear Saban ##### about how "easy our schedule" was when we whipped his ### 44-16 and could have easily run up the score more. No because he is a man's man and understands as others said we play the cards that are dealt. SEC is not tough. SEC used to have 2-3 teams that were good each year, one great. Now that they've expanded, maybe you have 3-4 good teams. Outside of that the rest are meh. We control our destiny. We've not been good the last few years due to our own issues, not due to the fact we weren't in the SEC. When we were on top, trust me, SEC didn't put fear in anybody. Maybe Alabama got our respect, but that's finally why we won because there was no fear. SEC is an overhyped product of TV networks. Yes you have good teams, no they are not magical awe inspiring teams from top to bottom.
