You have to play CV and Denson or you're going to lose the team. It's now about building for next year and sending a message to the team and fanbase that all jobs are open and we will go to all measures to win now.
If they portal out, they portal out. I would much rather have a bunch of group of 5 players that actually want to win with pride than whatever it is we have now.
Play Vizzina. Play Denson. Now.

What matters is that we put players on the field who play with passion and give maximum effort no matter the result. I have a high level of confidence that Vizzina and Denson can't perform any worse. Cade plays scared. We can't have that. I don't care if CV or Denson throw 8 interceptions as long as they hang tight in the pocket and step into their throw.
You can't learn without playing time. Let these kids play and let's see if they can improve. Cade has proven he is incapable of improvement.

The problem is, you say you dont care if he throws 8 interceptions, but as soon as he throws ONE the mobs will be out with pitchforks calling for his head. You must be new around here. These animals around here called for DW4s head because he threw too many ints......

I'm done with Cade. He plays scared. It's less about numbers now and more about mentality.
Play a QB who wants to win and plays tough. Even if the execution is poor.

Does it matter? We aren't winning games with the guys who are "ready to play."

Agreed. This season is now preparing for next year. Will Dabo answer the call? History does not give me much confidence since he typically rides with a QB until the end of the season.

It doesn’t matter that the others have a steep learning curve because the team will rally and everyone will play hard. Heck, it would even infuse energy into our entire fan base. It’s about pride. We are CLEMSON!!

We are currently set to go 2-10 with Cade.
I think we could certainly go 2-10 with Chris or Denson.

I guarantee you the whole team went out partying to the Ridge, the Pier, etc.
1-3, I promise you that team is moving on to enjoying college life

Hello all, first time poster and new to Tigernet! I agree that what is going on now is not working and I'm on board to pull Cade and go ahead and build for the future. He's a 4 year starter right? But playing like a sophomore. Just doesn't seem to be getting any better so keys move on. Dabo is so head strong and will not pull him. He's afraid he'll look bad in the media after all these years of taking up for Cade. He'll never admit he should've pulled him sooner.

I don’t dislike him. I just think the offense has quit on him, mainly the WRs. He’s not seeing the field and he’s holding it to long. He’s inaccurate, and I wonder if the guys think he’s going to get them injured.

I would have to agree with you. Cade’s comments after pretty much every game this year are proof of it, particularly yesterday.
If he is benched and transfers, I’ll help him pack

Oh I get that sentiment and am appreciative of the part he played in both of those championships
However - I don’t think you can have any tolerance for the type of attitude that Cade has displayed, especially when that player is supposed to be a leader on the team. It’s entirely unacceptable and should be snuffed out of the locker room

No question. The receivers are visibly frustrated by Cade's inconsistency. It doesn't matter what they are showing in practice - you have to give other guys reps just to send a message to the team and fanbase.

Putting in backups who are less ready than the starters won’t change that.
