I didn’t realize that how you win determines if it is a good win or not. I bet any team in the top 12 would take a one point win against a top 20 ranked team on the road anyday of the week and twice on Friday. Frustrating season yes and most teams have a season or two like this and if it determines how your life goes maybe you should find another team or hobby.

I’m not aware of a coach with sustained success that was not a great leader. I’m not saying I respect each of their styles, just saying they all have the ability to influence others to achieve a common goal.
Dabo is one of the best and has achieved success at the highest level because of his leadership not in spite of it.

I spent 23 years in the military, don't you dare think there aren't poor leaders in the military either. Leadership traits are qualities you're born with. In this case two things can be true at the same time. There is no team that wins without good leaders, aside from the head coach.

We won. The team could have folded after the muffed punt but that fought hard with the resources they have and the fan support they are given then play hard. We’re 5-5 could 7-5.
We won ugly today that is the sign of a great program and its stability. What would satisfy you ??? What besides a Win will make you as a fan happy ???

I hope you and the others who have posted nothing but BS negative comments are not motivational speakers. I don’t know what you all do for a living but whatever it is I am sure everyday is not filled with success, sunshine and rainbows. I am sure you have had your share of failures and adversity in life. I hope you are as hard on yourselves as you have been on Dabo and the team.
Teams like Bama, Auburn, Miami, LSU, OSU and FSU all National Champion’s at one point have had needed luck to win games similar to Clemson’s win last night. Some times luck play a big part in success. Even more important what did you learn from your failures. ??? How did you handle them ???
Remember when Bama beat UGA in OT for the National Championship on a Hail Mary pass of 41 yards. Pure Luck ! A lot of luck !!!
The next year a Dabo Swinney lead Clemson beat Sabin’s #1 ranked Bama team 44-16 for the Tigers 3rd National Championship.
Great teams fight through the struggles and adversity. They keep trying and fighting. I am proud of Dabo, the players and of being a part of Clemson. Last nights Win showed guts, and a never quit attitude in our Clemson Tigers 🐅🐅🐅.
The coaches and the team could have quit after the Syracuse loss but they have continued to fight. Go Tigers ! Great Win last night in Louisville.

He has spoken about the negatives and taken ownership, and he always has been he remains a positive and optimistic leader. Obviously he has the trophies and rings to maintain being the same man and coach he is. The has never talked about changes during the course of a season. Never.
But as for me, I mean tonight we just had a huge win. That’s a great night! Two big wins in a row. I’m not sure how long you’ve been watching organized football, but ultimately it doesn’t matter how you win. A win is a win. You take it and move forward. It wasn’t pretty, but you take it. Everyone has games where they don’t look pretty doing it but they take the W. That’s sports and life.
As for me I get it if some guys don’t want to buy in on two big wins in a row, because they don’t like Dabo being Dabo I guess, but I’m taking it.. without complaining. Why get all bent out of shape after a win? We made some big plays and did enough to win the game. It’s football and these things go both ways.
Huge win. Go Tigers!

Be happy for the win. Would you have been happier had we lost 30-29 ? Yes, we made mistakes and were fortunate with their kicking woes however, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. We beat a top 25 team and are going bowling .. Go Tigers !!!!

He is sometimes. I wish he had ‘t said “heart of a champion” but the gist of what he said about this team is true. With absolutely nothing to play for in terms of season record, this team has continued to play hard. They didn’t pack it in and go 3-9 or 2-10. You want a contrast look at last years FSU team.

I see a problem.
Once, again, Dabo rolled the dice that our 'D' could close-out the game. He has chosen to shutdown our offense multiple times in the 4th quarter, by running the ball 3 times followed by a punt.
Our 'D' is incredibly bad this year. (Although they had some moments vs UL. Aveon Terrell continues to amaze.)
Shutting down the offense did NOT work vs LSU (late in the game, when we behind, he restarted the offense), GaT, SMU, and Duke. It should not have worked vs FSU and Loserville -- but both of those teams FOLDED-UP to give us those games. Even so, I think that every Clemson fan was sitting on pins and needles for most of the 4th quarter? I was.
I think we were very fortunate to get all those penalty calls on Loserville, late in the game. (Was this ACC payback after taking the Duke game from our team? Inquiring minds...)
I would like to see our offense try to WIN the game in Cooterville and not give it away, late, like last year to USuC in the Valley.

After most of the season is over, it's easy to see that we don't have the dudes. If you got the dudes, they make the coaches look good and every game isn't a struggle. Could be we need new coaches .... the ones we have now aren't getting the right dudes into the program.

… people were calling for Goodwin to be fired, and Allen came in highly recommended. As a coach that has a great track record, he instituted a whole new system and IMO you can’t be proficient in a completely different system — even with great players — in just one year.
Sure, there are coaches that might need to be changed now, but changing a whole unit isn’t easy.
Schemes and tendencies can’t turn on a dime. There are no instant fixes in sports or pretty much anything.
