We went over this before. Broad picture: he has not failed at football. Did he get perfect scores on every test in college? I bet he even got a C or two growing up. He’s talked a lot over the years about the 2010 season. It was a failing grade, record wise. I’m sure in the archives you’d find he’s said “I failed to…” numerous times.
Nearly everyone guru will tell you failure is a part of success. Did Edison fail at inventing the light bulb? No one would say yes. His famous quote “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that didn’t work” echo this sentiment.
You’re just trying to ruffle feathers.

So either he has failed a lot in the last two years, despite never failing before, or he was lying before.

Watch the recent videos from the fine young men that are playing at Clemson and tell me that Dabo has failed . What is wrong with Clemson ? It is some fans here that are the problems not our coach or the players. Wake up and understand why Clemson is Special People.

Dabo made it more special by winning 2 national championships. Now give the man a little credit and respect and quit hating on him so much. How about we all hope and pray that Dabo and company gets this mess fixed ASAP and I mean next year is a start and in 2027 we see real improvement.

With that also comes the responsibility for our decline. That’s on him, too.
As the head coach, he gets the praise and the criticism.

Creating a long running narrative by taking any and all opportunities to point out someone’s perceived ”negatives” is hating on them. Spin things however you want. Starting a thread titled “Dabo has clearly been failing a lot lately” then following that up with “And I didn’t say that Dabo has failed” is your schtick. He was definitely being uber defensive, and I kind of cringed. But it’s like saying “everyone wants to be rich” or “everyone thinks they are a coach”. It’s for emphasis, added to him not failing OVERALL at anything in his life.
Personal perspective is in play as well. Some men consider failure to be 500k a year. Others 10 million.

I find the Thomas Edison comparison interesting, considering he didn't invent anything and instead piggybacked on others like Joseph Swan, Humphry Davy, James Lindsay, Moses Farmer,
and Warren de la Rue. It's brave of you to compare Dabo, who many would say has been a relatively incompetent coach outside of a brief period where he had the best coordinators in football.
But a serious question, how many years of decline would allow us to say he's failed? 10?

I simply was using the statement he made, a famous quote. Though the “I’ve” part of it may not be true, the sentiment I was pointing out is.
I know you don’t know me, but I’ve made plenty of statements about our issues. Not in here, but on other platforms going back to around 2020. Heck, in 2019 I pointed out that our QB’s didn’t develop. They just were THAT good. TLaw took a step back in the beginning of his sophomore year. Was a turnover machine. I think he just stopped listening to Streeter after that. 😂
But no, not 10 years. But in my eyes, seeing as it’s now rock bottom, I think he’s smart enough and humbled enough to at least try and right the ship. I may be 100 wrong about that, and I understand your opinion if you want him fired. May not agree right now, but I get it.

It’s pretty ridiculous that you or anyone else would say that I do, especially since I have stated multiple times that I like him.
With that said, I am going to call him out when he says stupid stuff or kills our successful program. Winning big here in the past doesn’t insulate him from criticism.
We are all hoping that he can figure it out and return us to our winning ways. In the meantime, maybe he will stop lecturing us and being a hypocrite.
It has been somewhat refreshing seeing him eat some humble pie recently.

Two years ago, when he acted like a petulant child in his rant to a caller on his radio show, boldly claimed that he has never failed at anything in life.
That’s a bold statement. Of course, at his press conference the next day, he doubled down and dug his heels in like he is apt to do.
I was shocked to hear that he recently said that he has failed at a lot of things. That’s pretty surprising for him to say, since clearly stated two years ago that the has never failed at ANYTHING.
So which is it?
Did he never fail at anything until two years ago, and then start failing like crazy all of a sudden?
Did he misspeak then?
Did he mean something different now?
We deserve answers.

He meant failing overall. You may have setbacks in life but still achieve the goals you set out to achieve. Complete failure would mean never achieving those goals.
People say that all the time. You may fail to do something today but get it done tomorrow. You then have not failed.

Judge - I think it’s a matter of semantics, and you may be misinterpreting or trying to skew what Dabo meant.
In the Tyler rant, he admitted “I’ve been a part of failure many times” before indicating that he's never failed at anything.
I think he meant that although he’s made mistakes and has had small failures, he’s never FAILED in the ultimate sense of the word. He’s made corrections and gotten it right.
You know as well as I do if someone is in the heat of the moment, and this was definitely one of those times, they may not use the exact words that convey what they’re trying to say. If he had a re-do, being much calmer, things may have went differently.
It’s obvious that mistakes have been made (‘failures’ if that’s the word we’re using) - Although I don’t think it’s right to crucify the man over something he said when he was called out and put on the spot.
