Nothing wrong with Dabo as a person I don't believe but he's definitely got his work cut out for him this year once it is over.
We can hang on to that conference banner all we want to from LAST YEAR. But what about THIS YEAR? We might not even go to a bowl game for the first time since 2004 (which we self-imposed), 1998 was the previous time we didn't go bowling outright. 27 year streak is potentially about to end. That's NOT GOOD.
This isn't a "You people" anything. This isn't acceptable at Clemson, no matter who the coach is. I don't want Dabo fired but this lousy play (which we've had in some form or another the last 5 years) cannot be the norm and we cannot accept it as fans or as a program if we want a sustainable program in the future. Past accomplishments mean nothing if the current product is downright abysmal and uncompetitive.

This is my view if you don’t want him fired. Then let him do his job that you must believe he is competent at or you would want him fired. All the the fans booing and ripping clemson on social media only makes his job harder. I am not happy about this season but I understand someone in Dabos position is only going to do what he thinks is right. He will not change if he believes he is right. For me that is what I expect from a leader. He may take advice from people he knows and respects and I assure you that is not a bunch of fans.

He has said on more than one occasion that stuff doesn’t bother him and doesn’t impact the decisions he makes. He has always said he knows who he is and what he stands for and his values are what inform his decisions.

So then you agree all the garbage about what he is doing wrong is not needed. It is getting so loud that some our committed recruits are coming out to support him. Next question how do you think it affects the kids we are still recruiting? I think his biggest mistakes were the inexperienced coaches he hired. I think he is fixing it slowly but I do think he is fixing it. I feel like there will be a couple more asst coaches let go this year. Unfortunately new coaches need a couple years to get their style of players in here and coach them.

If you spend any time on other sites, you see the exact same things being said by dissatisfied fans. Coaches understand the mentality and move on. Dabo is paid very well to accept that part of the job knowing it comes with the territory.
I guarantee you it bothers you a lot more than it bothers him. He is more bothered by the results than opinions. That is what hurts him right now more than anything else, evidenced by his comments about this feeling like 2010 all over again.

Regarding recruits, the stuff they see on ESPN is much more damaging than anything they see on TNet. They know we are a bunch of armchair QBs but when they see guys who have played the game at a high level criticizing the program, that is where some damage can be done, especially when our competitors are fanning those flames.

He’s not genuine when he says it doesn’t bother him. Tyler is one example. The most glaring one, though, is his diatribe after ga tech. No one said anything. The question was benign as could be. He goes off on “I, I, I, we, we, we” and threatens to leave. 15 minutes of it btw.
It affects him. Greatly. Nothing wrong with that at all.
None of our griping will change anything, this is true. But collectively it definitely will. IF he refuses to change. At best his staff was hired because he believes deep down his sons and friends are great coaches in the making. At worst, he’s just filling bank accounts on the university dime. Either way: the chances of 2/3 of the best people we could possibly get to fill those 30-40 positions: you’d have a better chance of hitting the powerball and mega millions on consecutive nights

troll mode on Dabo. Knew it was probably inevitable just because of the times we live in today..everyone with an opinion and all. And he's deserved some heat for sure. But its funny that ya'll think hiring a new coach will just fix the problem. We'll go back to being just another ACC team in a SEC/Big10 world. Maybe by 2040 we'll get back to right. 15 years is fairly gracious.

Most of us want to keep the coach we have. I just want him to go back to the humble, hungry Dabo, that is looking to gain every competitive advantage for his program to succeed.
If he just can’t bring himself to do all the hard stuff it will take to turn this around, then he would be the one to make that decision, and we would need to move on from there.

to our acumen and our body of work. If he doesn't figure a way to jump start it again then we will. But def won't argue that this year we've laid a monumental egg. But maybe its a simple reboot in offensive philosophy and new blood building a new offensive identity. Maybe its as simple as letting Coach Allen bring in people he trusts to implement his defense the way he wants that could help change it. And maybe its as simple as finding ways to coexist with the transfer portal aggressively and change the way he structures his football program. Maybe he won't do any of that and we stay a commoner in the college football landscape. This was the year that was supposed to prove or disprove his method. It obviously disproved it. I say let him try to reboot from nuts and bolts and start chapter 2.
Next year will tell the tale. If we're back to 5-7 with no improvement then we know what our reality is. the last time he went 6-6 he came back and won 10 games the following year. So we shall see.

He did not forget how to coach! He did not become lazy and stop paying attention to details.
Maybe its the players fault?

Syracuse just happened to be their last conference game. If they lost to them 2 games sooner, the result would have been the same. No one backed into anything.

According to Finebaum, Dabo is dead. Dabo is slow, but not real slow. He knows what a championship team needs. Personally, I think he is capable of changing his evil ways and putting together winning teams again.
