Who is GA's RB coach/recruiter

That continues to land them such elite talent at RB? I do not understand why with the way Dabo and staff can recruit highly rated and talented players that they have yet to land a true dominant RB while Georgia is sitting on 4 backs that would all start at any D1 school in the country.

would have led to one scary offense at Clemson. I'm sure with the upgrade to the Offensive line soon, guys like Tavian Feaster will commit to Clemson in the coming seasons.

We will have a hard time recruiting a running back that has potential to be a starter at multiple universities as long as the quarterback is the 3rd and short, and goal line keeper keeper. I love the hunh but quit spitting in the face of the rb on 3rd and short, and on goal line keepers. We can recruit any position but rb. Am I wrong?

Agree. I was under the impression the reason we were using the QB in short yardage was because we did not have a RB who could punch it in. If we had a back capable of converting a 3rd and short we would not be using the QB.

Why would the likes of Gurly or Marshall after hearing from recruiter after recruiter "you'll be second fiddle to the QB no matter how good you are" come to Clemson?

I believe he had an altercation with the law and that was the end of that with Dabo.

Keith Marshall grew up idolizing Herschel Walker. Not surprising at all that he chose UGA

Well it does seem that we have become somewhat known as "receiver university " . But I think the coaches realize that to win championships we have to have a balanced offense with a strong defense .It takes a while to recruit and develop a good offensive line. .I bet we recruit a few great running backs soon. We may already have one with Gallman , Choice and Dye .

I would agree that Gallman, choice, and possibly Dye will be great backs in the future. But right now we are feeling the pain of bad RB recruiting between Andre Ellington and the 2014 class.

That is true, but you can't tell me that there was not a better running back in the GA,SC,NC,VA,Fla,TN than DJ Howard and we had to go get a guy from the track team too.

The realistic answer is probably in Tyshon Dye being injured
Sep 1, 2014, 9:11 PM

Not saying that he would have been the starter last year, but he would have most likely contributed. He probably would have been the starter this year.
Not having Bellamy is a part of the problem, but I think Dye would have been a legit threat in the offense. His injuries have been a huge blow to our rushing attack.

Well said. I'm just shaking my head at some of the folks here saying we are not recruiting well with RBs. Lets not forgot we'd have Bellamy and Dye in a perfect scenario. The new "thunder and lightening". Had we had both of them available for UGA, I think we'd be singing a different tune right now.
