Cuse Defensive front 7

Oct 17, 2022, 6:42 PM

Is pretty small per the depth chart. Coach Ford would have 400 rushing yards against these Lilliputians.

Yeah, they are small!
What they seem to be doing to people is the following: get up on them by a score or three with their explosive offense; now most teams go into pretty much a majority passing mode. Those smaller linemen now get to chase the passer!

Look for us to have problems if they get up a score or two. They are noticeably small; we will have to make them pay for it.
The OL should be licking their chops for certain. Do they have that "dawg mentality" to go out and dominate all game is what I want to see.

I think they are going to load up the box and dare DJ to throw(which I believe will result in his best game to date). They know that Clemson will be the best running game(odd to say that considering how weak the OL looks in run blocking) they have faced.

Wow! If Danny Ford could run for 400 yards against these guys, Will, Phil, and Kobe should be able to put up a thousand!

What am I missing on their lineup? They play a 3 man front?

Syracuse implements a lot of run blitzing with their linebackers and safeties at times. I hope that Coach Streeter has a plan to pass to the tight ends a lot. The middle of the field should be open, good coaching should make the difference.

Yes, we play a 3-3-5 which is very quirky. It can be effective time to time due to how different it is. Tony White is a great defensive coordinator. Believe it or not, we are the second best defense after yall. And no, its not NC State. our mediocre offense put up 24 last week and thats with Shrader throwing 2 picks.

I don't think you'll have much of a problem scoring on us based on your athletes and coaching. But I do think Vegas has it right. I think Cuse can keep it within 14-17

Yall seem to always give us fits. Safe travels if you attend the game. If you do plan on coming I hope you enjoy your time in Clemson.
