Shoot anyone who says that is definitely trying to make themselves feel better. I can remember quite a few players we missed in that turned out good players. But we also ended up with some decent ones as well so it typically works out.

I don’t really think anyone is that sad to see him go. We’ve lost some upper class depth, but seen to be fine with guys like Mukuba and Wiggins, plus he’s not there only safety in a DB heavy class. Wish him luck, wish he was still here, but seems to be a wait and see on IMG academy kids in terms of impact.

If he is not all in, its best he moves on, but to say it won't hurt the recruiting class would not be telling the truth.

To be honest, we have about 12 holes to fill if we are even going to have 85 scholarships filled come fall camp next August. I know Dabo has a plan, but the holes left by the transfer portal are huge.

At least a lot of walk-ons might get scholarships.... at least for one year. As a former Clemson walk-on, I am happy for those guys.

We will be fine... I am happy for Brent, and if it works out for TE, I will be happy for him. Dabo has a plan, and we will be successful with the guys we have.

This came up a week ago about him at Michigan visiting so this isn't a Venables thing regardless the timing. I don't see how we need someone not coming so does it really matter? Clemson has some pretty good safeties on the team so he falls in the real column of don't really need him and right now don't really want him.
